So, I was just surfing Amazon, seeing if I could get a decent price on the original Art of Mass Effect book, when I found this. Anyone else heard of this?

Nice find,

I have the Art of Mass Effect 1 book and the concept art in it is phenominal, very intriging stuff. I almost wonder if this was originally scheduled to release with ME3 this fall until the game was pushed back till March of 2012.

A definite buy for me.

I'm surprised no one else cares about this. There hasn't been any sort of announcement yet.

What I find interesting is the November 29 release date. I have a feeling that was the original Bioware internal ME3 release date. Makes sense since it's a Tuesday and the ME3 Normandy model is also due out in November.

I've seen it on a couple of other sites with the same release date. It does sound like it was meant to be released near ME3, but now it just seems odd to me to put all the art out months before the game's released (I'm just thinking spoilers). Could be that the sites just haven't updated the date though. Until there's some official announcement I guess we won't know for sure.
Sounds pretty awesome though. I wonder if it'll be mostly new stuff that's not already in the other art books. If so then I'm def buying.

And I can't find the item on Amazon at present, so it's probably connected. It's odd you haven't received any information on the cancellation of your orders, though. Hopefully you'll get one soon.

I wonder if this is the same art book that comes with the Collector's Edition?

Hi, yes, I had this pre-ordered and it was cancelled last night. What is interesting is that it still shows as available for pre-order on Amazon Canada and UK, as well as several other online sites.

This happened to me once before, on another game book. They cancelled my order, and then the next day the item was available again. So we will have to see if this is really cancelled by the publisher or if there is some other trickery going on.

I contacted Amazon India (your helpful service reps for that good North-American company Amazon are of course all located in India), and the answer was just that it was not available and they issued me a $5.00 credit to future purchase. But that didn't answer my real question of whether this is really unavailable now (i.e. it's not going to be published) or if it's just that they wanted to dump all the pre-orders (maybe the original price was too low -- this happened to me once before.)

Definitely getting this. I always wanted the first Art of Mass Effect book, but it's expensive. This one is definitely in my price range.

Just wanted to let everyone know that this book popped back up on Amazon.com.

http://www.amazon.co...duct/1595827684

And it's still at the $26.39 price it was prior to Amazon cancelling everyone's pre-order.

Release date is listed as February 21, 2012, a full 2 weeks prior to the release of ME3. Although I would take that with a grain of salt. The ship date for ME: Evolution bounced all over the place on Amazon.
