Hi.. So, I bought DA:O UE. Installed it, played it for awhile.. It works fine, no probs.. But when I exited the game i noticed that everything in vista is small.. Fonts, Desktop icons even when i'm on the next using firefox, everything seems to be zoomed out.. Text and all.. I've checked my monitor, resolution settings,  it's still at 1920 x 1080 as it was before.. Anyway, my question is..is it possible that DA: O somehow changed my PC resolution? If anyone knows what i'm on about I would appreciate any help..thank you.

At what resolution are you playing the game?

If you've been playing any game an extended period of time, especially at a lower resolution, your eyes become adjusted to it. So when you go back to the desktop, everything can appear particularly small and sharp. It's the same affect that you can have after watching a movie in the theater...when the film is over, and you stand up, the whole world looks a little squat. It's eye strain.

I was playing an ancient DOS game a few days back, and I noticed the same thing when I exited to desktop.

Anyway, that's my first, best guess. No, Origins should not be changing desktop resolution settings.

Thank you for responding. I play DAO in 1920x1080..and my pc res is 1920x1080...It just seems to look different now since installing DAO, like it's zoomed out or something..and all fonts and text in vista and in firefox are very tiny, and they are hard to see..wasnt like that before.. Anyway, thanks again.. Awesome game BTW.. : )

If they still look different, i.e. not eye strain, it is possible that you accidentally hit a hotkey/shortcut to change icon sizes and/or font sizes. The are investigatable via your Windows control panel. As for the resolution, that also is very basic and easy to check.
