One of the greatest things about DA: O (aside from the core game) was the epilogue, you could see that everything you did had its consequences. Now, we know that most major decisions will play a role in ME3 but we have 2 games where very minor decisions were made. An Epilogue would be the ideal way to wrap everything up.

Erhm, I wouldn't call a text based epilogue the ideal way of your choices having consequences, especially not to end a trilogy with...

This really doesnt sound appealing at all. It was a nice feature and worked for Origins, but I dont really want to know about what Wrex and Kasumi are doing with their retirement. Leave that for the fanfics.

Anyway the in game email system should round off anything else. I just hope they make some improvements to it this time around.

So its worse than the credits immediately rolling?

I agree with, Kaiser. Written text isn't an ideal way to show off the consequences of ones choices.

you could go fall out style and have them narrate over a picture of them.

I'd like one for the factions (Alliance, Geth, Turians etc) like what happened to them after beating the reapers. ( Geth might be controlled by humans or quarians)

This is one of my very few 'do not wants'. Text epilogue worked fine in DAO, but it was fundamentally uninteresting and kind of a downer. [Prone to glitching too.] Not that things were depressing, mind you- but that all this stuff was going on that we'd never see.

Ideally, I'd like some sort of cut scene montage for each of the races, indicating how they are doing in the end but nothing more. Let future games and fan theories work out exactly what happens. I don't need to know that, after Palavan is rebuilt, the turian councilor became a crazy red sand addict and started making a golem army unless they're actually going to show me it. Otherwise it's superfluous.

Just leave enough for us to speculate, but not enough so that everyone is strangled by dumps of info that never come to pass. Especially on Shepard and the crew.

Why would you set your sights so low?

That's like writing "Requested Feature: Graphics at least as good as Quake 2!" or something. The Epilogue to DA:O wasn't one of the best things about it, it was a cheap cop-out. If they animated and voiced all that stuff instead of making it text, then maybe they'd be getting somewhere.

I thought the feature was perfect in DA:O; it sent chills down my spine when I first saw it. That being said, I do NOT believe it would fit just as well in ME3. Casey and his team should be creative enough to come up with something new on this.

Hell no, I'd rather they show the endings rather than simply tell us with some text cards.

Should do a The Witcher Style Epilogue, have shepard do a voice over, zoom in and out and move around so artist sketches or something relating to your choice. Twould be awesome.

And I'd rather have interesting information rather than the equivalent of Ewoks having a party.

This would be a terrible idea, especially if the game ended with epilogues similar to DA: Awakening's ending.

Who said anything about Ewoks having a party?

If the epilogue card would have been, "The Quarian Flotilla was destroyed in a futile attempt to retake the homeworld" I want to see the fleet getting destroyed.  That kind of thing.

As to the long term effects, I want to see them in the equivalent of Mass Effect 4.

The DA:O epilogue was great, but I'd rather have something more visually appealing and interactive.

If an epilogue made of text is the only thing that's gonna show us the consequences of our actions, that would be really cheap. I expect that to happen in the game self, not in the epilogue.

Short answer: no

What about Anderson, Udina and Hackett discussing Shepard's journey and choices? End the series like it began.

Assuming they all survive, then this would be a neat little idea.

I said it before and I'll say it again here.
IMO the perfect way to do this is to show us little clips (just a few seconds for each character, not even voiced but just visuals) while the credits roll (e.g. at on side of the screen). These could hint at what happens to people without being too specific and could be decision dependent.

Well, you're not going to get that.  Except for maybe one or two things.  So I'd rather have epilogue cards than nothing.

Hell, no!  If the endings are made to all fit into a ME4, then there's no chance of Shepard's choices having a meaningful effect on the galaxy.  ME3 should be treated as the end of the series, with wildly divergent endings possible, and then they should pick one of those endings and use it for any future ME games.

I think a combonation of the two wouldn't be a bad idea. Just more cinema, with some text narative on the side over the little details... like what happen to that Mother whose son could be altered by gene therapy and stuff.

Hell no. The slideshow epilogue was just lazy. Ever heard of "Show, don't tell"? I'd much rather see the consequences of Shepard's decisions while playing the game than be told about them afterwards.

I actually found that very effective in NV, liked it a bunch. Wouldn't mind it at all.
