The low amount of health and lyrium poultices/potions is a bit annoying. It forces you to ration, but I think it was unnecessary since there's a cool-down time for potions. Even when you brew your own (and I play a mage) you end up running low. And I play at Normal difficulty.

The restrictions of the character creator. Most importantly, there are way too few hair styles to choose from, and too few hair colors. The longer hair styles are unusable anyway because of their lack of any credible animation. Also the tattoos, I find them all ugly and there are no subtle ones. To few colors as well. I could go on, but that's about what bothers me most.

The loading times bug (memory leak) is quite unnerving as well.

DLC items that instantly pops up in your inventory making new gear that you find on your journeys completely useless, I know you don't have to use them, but I still think it's a very cheap trick to lure people to buy the DLC's, the people who actually use these items are the ones I dislike the most. And of course the "Can I get you a ladder.." quote.

good thing there are actually infinite numbers of both, or I guess most accurately an ability to buy infinite ingredients.

*twitch*

God forbid a player should have to think before drinking a pot instead of spamming them all day.

The cooldown is TINY.

There is infinite lyrium dust in the Mage's Tower, infinite Elfroot in the Dalish Camp and infinite flasks/agents in camp.

-didn't find any cookies for sten

-the lack of voice from your char, he remember the PC in gta3, never talk in the whole game

-dog at camp, and then the nug

-half naked sex scene. Do you really make love with some of your clothes on ? I prefer ME sex scene.

-memory leak

-the need to redo ALL the fade part for all bonus once you have unlock all the form. I'll say nothing more to avoid spoilers.

-no karma, or renegade/paragon or whatever repercussion.

Also on the "too many cutscenes" comment... that may be your opinion, but this is a roleplaying game and the focus is the story, not the combat/action. The cutscenes are the POINT of playing a game like this.

Too much gore? Turn off the persistent gore button. Come on guys, how much does a pool of blood under an enemy affect gameplay? Saying its ruining it for you is just ridiculous.

I mean really! ;)

No, you misunderstand me...

If I wanted to watch a movie I would, I dont mind cutscenes, but the ones in this game seem to take forever... I dont know. I realize this is an opinion, but it annoys me.. thats what this thread was titled.. :)

The gore... Im not talking about the pools of blood, Im talking about how when you enter a conversation your character looks like jack the ripper on steriods... Its looks ridiculous.

Some of us do enjoy cutscenes, they're not even that long.

and like he said, you can remove that blood by selecting the option from the menu.

Anyways, I don't understand why everyone hates the Fade so much, I find it quite nice-looking.

Heh we got almost the same annoyances, cept the fade part thing ...

Tbh I would prefer to have only 1 selectable voice so we could have our PC talk a lot like in Mass Effect, cept making one male and one female.

1. Gross Mage Imbalance(Either nerf mages, buff other classes, or change some mobs to be strictly anti-mage like templars and golems).  Ideally I'd like to see all 3.  Nerfing a handful of Mage spells like Cone of Cold, buffing certain mobs in the anti-mage department,  and increase vigor regeneration significantly.
2.  Potion Issues.  Personally I think that potions should function very differently than they are right now.  As it is you can pretty much spam potions to your hearts delight but their is a limit to how many you can have.   The end result is that you are either invincible or screwed depending on whether you run out of potions or not.  I'd much rather see unlimited potion vendors BUT give them all a large shared cooldown of 30 seconds.  To make herbalism worthwhile you can always make potions made with herbalism more effective.
3.  Improve Broken Skills.  Many skills(belonging to all classes, mages, rogues, and warriors) are absolutely worthless.  Particularly many of the persistant skills with activation costs seem very weak for the cost to maintain it.
4.  Memory Leak.  Obviously this is more of a bug issue but every few hours I have to reset the game because it starts to chug.  Still considering it takes a while to really affect the game I think this one can wait.

I'm a big stickler on balance and it really bothers me when any game, single player or not, has these issues.  Obviously, I don't expect a single player game to care so much about balance but when the problems are so blatant like in this game it can cause problems.  If mages are supposed to be more powerful than warriors/rogues then at least give the last 2 classes another character slot to choose from since they are gimped to start. :P  Giving warriors/rogues the dog as a free extra companion would probably be an easy way to balance the game against overpowered mages.

No sheathes for weapons. Come on now, soldiers didn't carry exposed razor sharp blades on their backs /facepalm. How about a hip sword with a sheath? This one bothered me from the moment I loaded my first character.

Most annoying...
...Bioware has now become the new MMORPG micro-transaction game disguised as a single player RPG.  Last time I checked, I bought a stand alone game for a hefty $60.  WHY, pray tell, am I now being charged extra cash IF IF IF IF I want to enjoy all of the content that was developed?  Can you say, "nickle and dimed?" BTW, for those of you who haven't purchased Soldier's Peak for an additional $7, once the campaign within the keep is complete, you don't get to enter it again.  At least I haven't found a door that works.  So if you're looking for a cozy little keep to warm your feet by the fire, better visit the real estate agent when BioWare charges for one.  I hear there will be a "listing agreement" prior to purchase.

I have ME2 on pre-order, but, if Bioware finds some self-centered success in the micro-transaction world and it appears to be another installment of "this" I will reconsider.  Same goes for MMORPG SWKoTR.   If I want to spend MORE money on a regular basis there's this http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm  Literally, hundreds to chose from.

I guess someone has to pay for all those expensive ads on SyFy, but it's not going to be me much longer.  Really sad, 'cause in my opinion, Bioware was the last bastion of upstanding video game developers.  I may even have to look into the NEW Blizzard MMORPG that, according to Bliz, will have broader appeal than WoW...really, one can garner a broader appeal than 10 million subscribers?  Who says corporate greed is limited to Wall Street?

It's just my opinion, you don't have to agree with it, but if you're on the site reading this, you have paid for it.

- not being able to add more action bars. Quite annoying for mages.

- too little customization for warriors and rogues. Mages have it nice, with a good amount of different kinds of spells, but the talent trees for warriors and rogues are rather bland.

- DLC parade is annoying, I hate this new trend.

Not being able to get your companions brew potions/make traps/make poisons at camp, that is if your main character doesn't have the skills. It's truly the daftest thing ever and frustrates the hell out of me having to trek to a shop for the potions needed to defeat the ambush awaiting me on my journey to said shop..... if you see what I mean... chicken and the egg!

"Starting cutscenes that remove/mess, party positioning/stealth"

When you know/suspect your going to have to fight, that repositioning of your companions screws things up royaly. They should absolutely be put back to where they where when the cutscene finishes, makes the stealth ability pretty useless. I for one never use it for just this reason.

Ditto on the long-winded storekeepers!

DLC I just ignore so it doesn't bother me.

oh... and 'enchantment!' (though this is starting to have noober's 'heya' effect in indearing me to him...)

A couple of quick solutions to some of you guys' issues.

  • The dog barking in camp when I'm trying to talk to the npcs close to it.

"Talking" with the dog once or twice will get him to simmer down. I usually do this right when I enter the camp before I start my business. Keeps him happy and makes him chill out for the rest of the time I'm at camp.

  • Merchands with something to say before opening the trade window when I select the shopping option. (Worse offender is the dwarf in your camp)

Hitting "Esc" when they start talking will skip the chatter and take you straight to the buy/sell

  • The way how NPC auto-level when they join your party. I would love them to start at level 3 for exemple and then YOU select their points

You can do this for your party when at camp, i.e. before you take them out to the field. Just browse your party list and you should be able to manually level up your guys any way you wish before you take them out.

Limited inventory space

There is a pretty nifty mod that places a nice chest at your camp which you can use to store extra items in. You can find it in the 'Projects' section of this website.

Hope these helped :)

This one doesn't actually address the complaint.

When I pick up X (no spoilers!) he has a boatload of 2-handed weapon abilities right off the bat, as does another NPC you can pick up. Which means that if you want to take either one down the sword+shield route, you have a *lot* of wasted skills. This is why I never used some characters - their builds were complete crap to start with.

You can extend the action bar by dragging the end of it.

The reason that there is so much DLC is because the PC game was delayed for so long and the DLC was finished during that time.
