My Specs
Windows XP SP3
Intel Core i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz 9 (4 CPUs)
3254MB RAM
Graphics Card: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD Approx. Total Memory 1024.0MB
My Problem
I have never been able to run Mass Effect 2 on my computer, what happens is that after i hit play on the launcher or run MassEffect2.exe i get a black screen for a while then it says Mass Effect 2 has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I've tried reinstalling several times and still nothing has worked.
Please help me i don't want to have wasted money on such a highly critically aclaimed game that doesn't work!

You aren't supposed to be able to run Mass Effect without a proper video graphics CARD with a chip from AMD or nVIDIA.
Intel just doesn't do 3D gaming graphics well enough. And they don't sell any "Card" graphics at all.
If that is a proper desktop type computer in a normal tower enclosure, you need to go buy a proper graphics card for it.
PC MINIMUM System Requirements
OS = Windows XP SP3 / Windows Vista SP1 / Windows 7
Processor = 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or equivalent AMD CPU
Memory = 1 GB RAM for Windows XP / 2 GB RAM for Windows Vista and Windows 7
Hard Drive = 15 GB
DVD ROM = 1x Speed
Sound Card = DirectX 9.0c compatible
Direct X = DirectX 9.0c August 2008 (included)
Input = Keyboard / Mouse
Video Card = 256 MB (with Pixel Shader 3.0 support). Supported GPU Chips: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 or greater(**); ATI Radeon X1600 Pro or greater. Please note that NVIDIA GeForce G.205, G.210, 310, 7100, 7200, 7300, 7400, 7500, 8100, 8200, 8300, 8400, 9100, 9200, and 9300; ATI Radeon X1300, X1550, HD 2400, 3100, 3200, HD 3450, HD 3470, HD 4200, HD 4250, HD 4350, and (probably) HD 5450 are below minimum system requirements. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required. Intel and S3 video devices are not officially supported in Mass Effect 2.
(**)Two of the Geforce 6800s are worse than the next-lower Geforce game card, the 6600 GT, and should be avoided (6800 SE, 6800 XT).

If you do have a desktop PC, would you like advice about shopping for a game- capable graphics card?

As Gorath indicated, there is no guarantee that Mass Effect 2 will run on an Intel graphics chip. However, you may be able to get the game to work by downloading and installing new graphics drivers from here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/
Really though, as Gorath said, the best solution is to buy a graphics add-on card for your PC. You can find cards that can run Mass Effect 2 for as low as $60. You PC needs to be a proper desktop and not a laptop in order to be upgradeable though.
