Downloaded ME_2 collector's edition from D2D. There were(are)bonus items you get with this order.
I activated the game.
I downloaded all available content..including bonus items from collector's.
But I can't figure out how I "get the items" in game. I have no options on the menu's for it.

Can anyone give me some advice on how to retrieve my items in game?

Weapons and missions are sent to you through the in-game mail system. You need to have access to a ship first. Weapons should unlock automatically when you start the mission on Freedom's progress though I'm not sure this applies to all weapons. My soldier got his collector assault rifle on Freedom's Progress.

As the previous poster stated, any new missions you will be notified of by email within the game. The new weapons and armour will automatically be available to you when you either are asked to choose weapons for a mission or whenever you change your appearance either in the Captain's cabin or in the Cereberus base when you first meet the Illusive Man. You will also receive an ingame email telling you about the new items being available.

The only exception is if the new weapon/outfit is part of a new mission (ie Katsumi) - the weapon/outift will not be available until you collect it during the mission, after that it will be available as usual.
