Wasn't it said that the voices in the E3 demo were just place-holders? The article also states "currently not on board" and whilie it'd be kinda weird that he hasn't signed a contract to do the VO yet, it's still possible for him to do it...still many months to go.
BRING BEATTIE BACK! Mordin has been recast!

I'm waiting for all the people who are concerned about Kaidan possibly being bisexual to jump into this thread and express their outrage that BioWare could so seriously mess with the continuity of this beloved character by RECASTING THE VOICE ACTOR. I mean, that is probably THE most crucial aspect of continuity for a character, if it's a different voice actor, it's a different performance. If it's a different performance, it's a different character. You wouldn't swap out Mark Meer or Jennifer Hale at this point would you? This is something to really get upset about, and I hope BioWare just "hasn't gotten around to casting Beattie yet" or somesuch crossed-wire scenario. If my beloved Mordin is some one-dimensional copy of the awesome dude I met in ME2, I'm going to be seriously upset.

Read the article people. Nothing has been confirmed, the voice in the demos were most likely placeholders, and with 9 months to go to release, there's plenty of time to initiate contracts and record voicework sessions. I call BS on this one.

Voice acting sessions are just starting for the game.
If he's a minor character, what's to say he won't be contacted in a little while to record a relatively small amount of Mordin dialogue?
Until Bioware gives confirmation I think this is a bit of an overreaction.
That being said, it would be really unfortunate if this were true and he didn't feature in ME3. He was awesome as Mordin in ME2.

What? No. I refuse to believe this. They just haven't gotten around to voicing his dialog. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Speaking of voice actors, does anyone know if the voice actress who voiced Shiala in ME1 was the same one who voiced her small cameo in ME2? She sounded WAY different to me, and not in a good way.
