Now unlike the first game Mass effect 2 doesn't create a save file for the next game, so question is, What file will exactly be imported to Mass Effect 3?
I'm asking this because i recently decided to delete all my post SM savegames in order to replay it for a differnt outcome, and i'm worried the game might still use the old outcome instead of the new one.
BIoware, a technical question: What ME2 save will be used for the ME3 import

I assume any save game with the flag "has finished the Suicide Mission". You know, the same kind of save games you could import as an NG+ game in ME2. Hence why you can get multiple save files on one Shep to import as an NG+ game if you've saved several times since the SM.

Just a slight addendum to this would be that it'll also be only ones in which Shepard lived.

Could that matter less at this point? We're more than eight months away from the release.
