 i was reading something and it says that the reapers have been destroying planets  can anyone tell me if this is true i know it probably isnt but if it was that would be an even harder choie than virmire

I don't quite understand what you mean. Do you want to know if they're destroying plantes like death stars (i.e. actually destroying it?) Probably not.

And what does it have to do with virmie?

All I know is that Casey Hudson has said "The fate of worlds is in your hands" or something like that. I bet that somewhere in ME3 the reapers will be attacking two homeworlds at the same time and you choose which species to save...I know a lot of people will probably hate it, but they asked for more situations like Virmire from ME1.

Only thing that rings a bell in my head is planetary codex entry in ME2, or actually several. They read that some planets in system were destroyed by concentrated mass accelerator weapon fire, much like Reaper main gun.

Edit: I can't recall exact quotes, but in context it looked like some planets were destroyed by Reapers.

I love exploring the mass effect galaxy, and i can safely says that many planets have been bombarded by mass accelerators weapon from orbit simultaneously,releasing dust and other stuff into the atmosphere and killing the planet out of life and unhabitable because of lack of water and the lack of a decent atmosphere to support life. They can destroy moons however into pieces. It doesnt say this was made by the reapers but we can at least 99% assume they were the ones who assaulted the planets.
