I wonder if they'll be customizable also to make sure they aren't rendered useles by the fouth mission.

They have removed any reference to "The Prothean" and replaced it with "Additonal Downloadable mission and Character" so the CE will have a DLC charcter but we won't know the content for sure until the game has been released or the Achievements get uploaded to xbox.com or PSNSomeone With Mass wrote...

Yeah but I don't see the bit about the DLC character being a prothean anywhere. How did that rumor arise?
It used to say there was a Day 1 DLC and mentioned a Prothean
It's because the DLC was referred to by the name "The Prothean".
I'm still a little confused about the DLC character, though. Is there one or not?

Personally I don't mind whether they look or play similar to the DLC weapons in ME2. I'm getting the CE for all the other goodies, the weapons are just icing on the cake. It would be nice if they could be customized though.
And yes, they need to add in an N7 Assault Rifle

I support variety in weapons and even armors. So, having N7 looking weapons and armors would be nice. Visuality is allways important factor for players. Variety as differences is also important for players, so that weapons feels different and we have choises.
How ever, I do not support uber weapon or uber armor gameplay, because it allways destroys the combat balance and behavior.
Why I'm consern weapon balance?
It's not about what other players can have, as in single player games there is no other player. It's about understanding combat balance as how uber weapons and armors does change hole combat gameplay style to simplified superman leeroy type of combat. It's difference between middle age combat and modern warfare combat. it's difference between where combat it self is the main point, not collecting uber items and let it destroy everyting in combat it self.
So, yes I would like N7 stuff as variety choise, but not as uber items.

My main issue is that they are ugly as sin

Appear to, yes, but that could very well change. If indeed they are just reskins, then that's just dandy because now my SMG matches my armor. If they're all new, it'll probably be a mixed bag: the Collector Assault Rifle sucked, but the armor actually had pretty decent stats.Arrow70 wrote...
I hope not those weapons already appear to be in the vanilla game.
Can't we change the coloursand patterns on our weapons now? That would lead me to believe that these are actually unique weapons in their own right or their really would be little point. The models are ncie, but the colour scheme they show really doesn't matter much.

well if you have read the mass effect book's it says that the hahne-kedar is the standard supplyer to the alliance military and the hahne-kedar make the m-8/Lancer assualt rifle , the storm shotgun , the kessler pistol and the avenger sniper rifle so there-for the M8 is the standard Alliance assualt rifleReconTeam wrote...
In ME1 we see little to no standardization among the different armor and weapons the Systems Alliance forces you encounter are using, and in ME2 we don't see much of the Systems Alliance at all. So I would rather doubt the M-8 is standard.
just sayin..........

When the N7 Eagle is "unholstered" it makes the same noise the Phalanx laser site from ME2 did.
