I can't believe nobody said martin sheen for the elusive man... I mean... DUH.
and michelle rodriguez would completely ruin Ashley as my pick in my campaigns ;P
- Also i love Siansonea II recommending Strahovski for Miranda when she's modeled and voiced by Strahovski already ;P. But me thinks an awesome Sheppard would most def be Gerard Butler - I mean... That or somebody with the acting chops of Christian Bale, i know that's a ridiculous order tho, that guy is next level.

Also quick addition....- Mathew Fox wouldn't be a bad shep when it comes to looks... and his name in Lost was "Jack Shephard".... huh huh.

I know that the VA cast is doing other things, but what would it be like if they were in a ME film? Hypothetically speaking of course. (This could be asked for any VA in any game - provided the movie is good. We all know the "stigma" attached to "Movie-based games" and vice-versa)

Yvonne as Miranda - I see that, but Miranda as Yvonne? That'd be quite odd!

Edward Norton
Brad Pitt
Matt Damon
Robert Downey Jr
Dominic Purcell
Wentworth Miller
Vin Diesel
Matt Fox


There's more, but those are the ones I constantly see in others' lists or that get casted for roles that I care about and don't feel they are right for.

I don't think I would want any huge names in my "dream cast". A full cast of "A list" celebs is just obnoxious. I don't like feeling like I'm watching an award show.

I agree, I would want nameless actors (who can act well) for that reason.

BTW, where did they say that the movie would cover the First Contact War?  I don't remember seeing a dev say that.

I was suspicious, as well; They were all talking about it in the "ME Movie" thread, and I found a link on a movie review forum that said it would be on the FCW. Forumites were saying how it was probably because the creators didn't want to commit to a trilogy, and that the movie will probably bite.


Sadly, I have to agree. I could always be pleasantly surprised, but it's safer to be pessimistic on this one.

I said something to this affect in another thread and i shall reiterate it here: Forget Henry Cavill...  I hope he does Superman justice in Man of Steel but if anyone would potray Male Shepard it should be Luke Evans,  who plays Lord Zues in Immortals... Other than him the only other actor that I can see to do  Shepard Commander justice is Will Smith... Think about it: Commander Shepard has so many different sides to his personality,

Ladies Man: We all know Will Simth can be that, from his days on Fresh Prince of Bell Air to Mike Lawry in the Bad Boys Franchise and Hitch.

Comedian: Shepard Commander has a pretty good sense of humor if you choose the opportunities given in game to be funny or sarcastic.One of my favorite Comedic moments as Shepard is when he talks the Citadel Souvnier Clerk, to give him a discount by making a scene; going on about how her store discriminates against the poor. Absolutedly Hillarious...And during Thane's Loyalty Mission, you can convince a worker blocking your path that there is a bomb on the premises.Man... Mark Meer's voice acting along with the body language of your avatar is 'Funny as all get-out !! ' Only Big Willy has the comedic chops to pull of such scenes on the Big Screen.

Man of Action: Commander Shepard is like John Matrix: Commando and  Jack Bauer: 24 all rolled up  into one... Mr.Smith has shown us from his potrayal of a scientist and soldier in "I Am Legend" that he can run and gun with the best of them...

I love her look and she's well cast on Eureka, but there is one aspect of Ash that I can't do without and that's her voice.I love her voice...Almost in the same way that when you are really into someone and you two are involved, you call them sometimes just b/c you wish to hear thier voice. And while Kimberly Brooks may not be as asthetically appealing as Erica Cera, her voice acting is second to none... What she does with her voice and what they do with the computer graphics is  

If Erica would be the body and Kimberly the voice.That would be like Mrs.Frankeinstien come to life But Erica as the voice and body is not unacceptable to me...

I don't want a movie either, whether it is about Shepard or the First Contact War.

It will be probably end up like most films that are adapted from video games: Done on the cheap with the producers just looking to cash in on a popular title, with a B movie cast, a hack director, and lousy writers.

I just created the thread for fun to see who people would cast if they had unlimited resources.

I'd love it if Kenneth Branagh or somebody like that would direct the movie. I thought he did a good job on "Thor". A good director could make a good movie with almost any cast.

So many of these characters are defined by their VO work, that I'd keep as many of the original VAs as possible.  However, many of them are not screen or stage actors, so some of the original VAs might not work.  This is less of a problem for alien characters like Krogan and Hanar, which would probably be CG anyway.

Shepard: Actually a pretty tough choice.  Sam Worthington, perhaps?
Liara T'Soni: Ali Hillis (original VA)
Urdnot Wrex: Steven Barr (original VA.  Wrex would almost certianly be CG anyway).
Garrus Vakarian: Brandon Keener (original VA)
Tali Zorah: Liz Sroka (original VA.  Could get a double to wear the suit if needed).

Kaidan Alenko: Not a blessed damned clue.  The voice work is done by Raphael Sbarge, but he doesn't really look like the character all that much.

Ashley Williams: Either Rhona Mitra or Michelle Rodriguez.  Preference towards Rhona Mitra

Saren Arterius: Fred Tatasciore (Original VA.  CG for on screen)
Sovereign: Peter Jessop (original VA)
Benezia: Marina Sirtis (original VA)
Shiala: Gwendoline Yeo (original VA)
Captain Anderson: Keith David (original VA)
Udina: John DeLancie.  No one can pull of obnoxious as well as John DeLancie.
Zaeed Massani: Robin Sachs (original VA.  He also looks enough like Zaeed to fulfill the role).
Legion: DC Douglas (original VA.  Legion would probably be CG)

Samara: This one is really tough.  Samara's appearance is modeled after Rana McAnear, and voiced by Maggie Baird.  Neither do a huge amount of on screen acting, but both have done some.  Samara has a unique appearance, however, and I'd really try to make it work with Rana McAnear.  If it couldn't be made to work with one of these two...maybe Cate Blanchett.  She was able to pull off "somewhat ethereal badass" in Lord of the Rings quite well.

Mordin: Michael Beattie (original VA.  Mordin is likely to be CG)
Miranda Lawson: Yvonne Strahovski (original VA and face model).
Urdnot Grunt: Steve Blum (Original VA.  Grunt will likely be CG)
Jacob Taylor: Will Smith

Thane Krios: Depends on if this one is CG or make up.  If CG, I'd go with the original VA, Keythe Farley.  If it was going to be a make up job, then someone with a deep voice, like Dennis Haysbert.

Jack: Natalie Portman
Kasumi Goto: Kelly Hu
Joker: Seth Green, of course
Dr Chakwas: Helen Mirren
Kelly Chambers: Bryce Howard
The Illusive Man: Martin Sheen

Sam Worthington can't act to save his life. My eye-crossed cat would make a better Shepard than him. And he knows his stuff when begging for food and attention.
What's with everyone and this weird obsession with that guy?
I'd go for Dominic Purcell. At least he resembles Shepard and acts way better than Worthington.

Not a weird obsession, I just think he's a good actor. Avatar was meh, but he was pretty F***ing badass in Terminator Salvation. Dominic Purcell would also be good though.
