Erica Cerra as Ashley
Janina as Gianna is inspired
I could live with Christian Kane as Kaiden
But my top three would make a perfect Mass Effect movie for me. Your mileage may vary...

Ok For Shepard Either Andy Whitfield (Spartacus) or Sam Witwer (Star Wars the Force Unleased) so for i like what people are saying for everyone... Besides Shepard!
I hadn't thought of Same Witwer but I could see it. Even Andy for that matter. But Dominic is still my number one pick. That guy should get more work...

Mark Strong as Saren.
Christoph Waltz as Udina or Mordin.
Anderson, Joker and Garrus should keep their actors.
Jackie Earle Hayley as Wrex.
Chris Hemsworth as Kaidan.
Anne Hathaway/Natalie Portman as Tali. Both can pull of the shyness well.
Karen Gillan as Liara.

Tom Hardy as Shepard. Could pull off the suave badass yet still give a great performance.

These are actually quite inspired...
Though I don't think a live action Mass Effect movie will have anything to do with the current games...

Dave Chappelle? What? Jacob wasn't a comic relief character. How about Idris Elba? Big serious guy; Jacob was a bada**. I'd rather see Statham as Shephard; he's wasted on a minor character like Zaeed. Who says Shephard can't have an english accent?

Well it's hard to think of a cast without knowing many characters outside of the games. I'm just going by what I would pick personally out of the characters I know. I've barely glanced at the novels or comics.kalpain wrote...

Ok, I'm going to show my age a bit here, but how about:
- Lance Henriksen for Councillor Udina
That would be some really bizarre casting considering that he voices Admiral Hackett (and of course kind of looks like him). I would suggest someone actually rather smoother and more politician-like than the harsh-voiced shouty Udina - Jimmy Smits perhaps.
Rutger Hauer for Saren
That would be pretty great. Though Saren and Hobo with a Shotgun being the same guy is kind of a disturbing prospect.
Carl Weathers for Capt Anderson
That would also be totally and utterly bizarre, because much as I love Carl Weathers, Keith David, who voices Anderson, is a much better actor, and has appeared in many movies (including both Pitch Black movies), and looks more like Anderson!
I also have to admit I would totally hate to see Liara played by Olivia Wilde. She's totally unable to do innocent or honest, like, ever, and I've seen her try. She always comes across as tricky and a little superior, and I think it's funny that people insult Megan Fox's acting and not hers, when, as much as Megan Fox "can't act", she's got a much wider range of characters than Wilde has shown, she's just less of a geek-favourite.
Personally I think Rachel Weisz would make a very good Liara. She doesn't sound much like her, but she can certainly do the whole "innocent-yet-determined" thing, and her look is good for the role (and she's certainly still young enough, looks-wise, as seen in recent movies).
