Does anyone want the ME1-style way of traveling from location to location?

The only thing I NEED to have changed in the Galaxy Map - is the ability to see the name of the planet (and maybe its infomration, backstory etc) without having to fly to it.
I disagree; I found that incredibly useful as an indicator that I had checked that planet.

I would like the mission and percentage indicators of the ME2 map and the simple cursor of the ME1 map

I actually liked ME2's version better. Only thing I didnt like was "buying fuel".
Wasn't the whole point of the new system to be a money sink in the first place?

...how does not having the name and information available without flying to it help you know if you've checked it already?
Further, how does having that informaiton without needing to spend fuel to see said information prevent you from knowing if you checked it? ^.-

No, I think System from the first game was much more tactical and realistic, you were actually ploting a course on the galaxy map, not flying a mini normandy around on a holograpic screen.

Yeah, I found the little Normandy a bit silly tbh. I'd much preferred the cursor method from ME1. Still the ME2 map had mission markers and percentage explored, so if BioWare could make a hybrid between the two, that would be be great!
I agree with this. Personally prefer ME1's movement but ME2's map configuration.

When you check a planet, its name appears above the planet in the isometric view. So if you've clicked on the planet, the name will appear, if you haven't, it won't.

I say something new, it was pretty much a time/money sink
Meh, they'll probably keep it.

So yeah, the cursor from ME1 with the additional info added to ME2's HUD.

Driving around a mini Normandy through a sun in a scale that is several lightyears off makes me cry, felt rather silly and not very immersice, too childish in my opinion.

Realistic/Tactical or not, the lack of feeling "involved" in the process of going from planet to planet in the first game is what attributed me to falling asleep while "examining" planets and such in ME1. ME1's way of doing it was very poor IMO. ME2's way (while I did like it to a degree) wasnt much of an improvement. So Im all for the poster who said that we should try something "new" in ME3.

However I wish we could enter and exit the Normandy via the airlock/decontamination chamber.
Edit: (as we did in me1)

you should't have to become invloved you're just ploting out destinations, doesn't take more then 30 seconds.

ME2's system was not perfect but it was better then ME1, and flying through the suns did not matter, it was not a sun, it was a holographic projection so I would assume that the real ship actually went around. Sometimes you need to remember its not real and just realize that it does not matter.
