I was left a message saying that light placeables can lose their tags after recovering a game from a save. First of all, does anybody know if this is true? Second, is the work-around to store a local variable on the light placeable and use that for identification?
Thank you.
Thank you.

They do lose their tag. I used get nearest object to get round it.

This is an old (and always infuriating) issue. I'm surprised someone hasn't stickied one of the many threads that discusses it:

I store the light as local Object on the area to get them back.
Local object don't loose their name even if they are light.
Light are loosing their tag on "save game", so when you reload they have no tag.

I use a sharpie and just write it on the side of the light.

Thank you. That is a nuisance. I was thinking of just creating the light objects with a 'tag' local variable and then using that to reset the light tags on game reload. But saving the light objects on the area sounds like a workable approach.
