What are some things you think that go against the ME-playing consensus?

I'll start:

-- ME would be better/more orignial if the asari were replaced by a more alien race like the quarians.
-- The krogan genophage is justifiable and not worth curing at this point.
-- The hanar are worthless and BW should not waste a shred of disc space on putting Blasto in ME3.
-- Zaeed is not a morally-reprehensible character.
-- Samara is worse than her daughter.
-- "The Great Lie" about Jacob Taylor is that he is normal. He is actually the most bizarre individual in the series.
-- If you think the turian councilor is too hostile, you are/were probably a sheltered child.
-- Punching Khalisa bint-Sinan Al-Jalani is a stupid thing to do.
-- Renegade scarring/red-eyes is hawt.
-- Jack does not need hair, nor should she be redesigned so more people can tolerate her.
-- Garrus is not much of a "bro" to Shepard. The only character that can rationally hold that moniker is Wrex. ("Shepard! My friend!")
-- More action/missions is prefferable to a bigger Citadel for mere exploration, asit was in ME2.
-- The Hammerhead > The Mako.

let me tell you something. There are so many differing opinions out there, each and everyone valid that making a list like this is basically pointless.

people will bicker about it ti'll the end of times and it won't actually matter untill the game comes out. Then they will bicker pointlessly some more.

This can be a perfectly good and interesting thread, if people can grow a pair and deal with dissent.

1) No it wouldn't - they're no less alien than anything else. The most alien beings we've encountered are The Keepers due to their size and the Rachni... due to their size.
2) No it's not. Genocide, no matter how gentle, is NEVER acceptable. It's a big galaxy, there were other ways.

8) Agreed. I'm not against punching women - I believe completley in total equality for everybody, punching somebody on TV when you're in a position of trust and power in a society that puts it's trust in you is not smart.
9) Nothing wrong with glowing eyes, but lore wise, the whole "If you think this way blah blah blah" is stupid. Should have come out and said "REAPER TECH TO THE FACE!" The actual scars though, meh.
10) Agreed. She's punk made manifest.

12) No - there should be both.
13) Stop trolling. The Mako should be a full Squad Member, voiced by Chuck Norris.

Probably the only one I agreed with was the one about punching the reporter. Other than that? everything else, if changed, would make the ME Series unplayable for me and seriously would just suck...

Joker is a horrible pilot and a horrible character.. First he lets the SR1 get destroyed by the collector turd cruiser and then gets the savior of the galaxy killed because he wants to go down with the ship. Later on the collector turd cruiser mission, he flies the SR2 away directly infront of the turd cruisers main gun, instead of...you know, away from it so they had to turn the ship around to shoot the Normandy?
