I'm hardly sold on it myself, but it's not exactly a mere gadget. It's a whole new console complete with new 'gadget/gimmick'. But then, every console has gimmicks now so I see no difference, and frankly I like the idea a helluva lot better in theory than the Kinect.

Time will tell if it flops, it'll either be a Wii or a Gamecube in terms of success. I only hope that if it IS successful that developers actually support the thing (and Nintendo give them the opportunity to). I'm not a massive fan of motion tech in general beyond it's party applications, but it still seems to me that very few devs are using what actually is there to any decent effect. It has more potential than mere voice commands for example.
