Zoot, you just might be the most ignorant person I have read in a while. Congratulations!

Hahah...that's hilarious.

Please, Zoot, in the future, keep your comedy act to the Comedic Forums.

It clearly says the forum is for Fans and Owners, not technologically-gifted folk like you. While it is encouraged that those that CAN help do...you clearly fall below that line, my friend. A simple, I cannot help you, would have suffised.

Oh yeah, and i was originally directed to these forums the day after the game came out from gamefaqs linking to a post on THIS forum. The post contained a bioware rep saying they were investigating the memory issue. So yes, a bioware rep did acknowledge it as a memory problem.

Also, I used california as that is where i live now and a croc/gator would be something REALLY out of place here which is what i would call a problem, let alone dangerous...

Thank You Mocking. Seems like people just don't understand that this is a Technical Support Thread. Last Time I checked this is the place you post about isssues or ask about patches. Crap there was already one broken patch for this game so I think anyone who wants to ask a question about PC support should be able too. Not be ridiculed for asking.

As far as knowing what a Memory leak Since you 2 Tards seem to think that we don't know what it is http://en.wikipedia....iki/Memory_Leak

And as Mocking said there was a BIoware Rep saying they where Aware of the Problem. As Far as proof I will stand by it by him saying he has no other problems with other games but, this one. Huh ! What a Suprise Me Too, and the Same can be said about others that have posted here.

There is definitely something slowing down load times after extended periods of play-time.

Bara pretty much described what I get, after 5-6 hours, load times increase dramatically.

Primary suspect is a memory leak, but I haven't bothered to check memory usage yet.

Closing and re-opening the app resolves the issue.

Withidread!

Good to see you still around Bro! I hope your enjoying this game, I know I am! A total re-start does indeed clear it up temporarily.

Wish that we got some sort of indication from BW that they are at least acknowledging this problem and are able to repeat it in the lab.

Like others have said, I seriously doubt that the DLC team has any real high level programmers onboard. They are probably low level techies that are trained specifically to build content. I do agree however, that BW should probably re-allocate their budget to bug fixes than DLC. More programmers, less builders until they iron out all the gameplay bugs, quest bugs, loading bugs, etc then switch some of those programmers over to the DLC team even if they are overqualified.

Speaking of bugs, I really hate this new forum from a functional standpoint. Even silly things like pressing return creates a double space forcing me to always edit my posts.... Annooooyying.

I've played the game from beginning to end and all the non dwarven origin stories and I have crashed twice - both after 4-5 hours in one stretch. I'm not noticing what i consider to be overly long load times... i mean it's not like - omg i'm loading the market district - i may as well go grab a coffee... but loading the market district does take 30 - maybe 40 seconds some times.

i add this information not to dispute other peoples experiences - but rather to add to the body of knowledge about this particular issue.  Different computer configurations will experience a wide range of different things with this sort of game...:wizard::devil::bandit::police:  <---i love the little faces  :)

How much memory does the game normally use? Does it increase over time? Does memory use spike when you experience long load times?

I'm also experiencing the issue- Load times start off great, then gradually build up to about 2 min / load... Annoying for sure. My comp is an Intel 2.66 w 6 GB ram and ATI Radeon 5770 (1GB) video card... Not a hardware issue. I've tried running from the .exe file, setting compatability back to windows xp, and turning off perpetual gore option in the game... None of those tips worked for me. Hoping something will be done to make the game experience as awesome as it should be for us PC gamers!
