^ This. A vigilante and assassin. They seems to share the same beliefs, The only difference is how they are directed. Garrus' are more outwadly while Thane's are more inwardly.

Garrus, Thane... and Wrex. All have some mercenary tendencies, all have moral grounds they won't cross (Thane and Garrus want to save innocents, Wrex refuses the potential genophage cure in part 2 due to ethics), all are willing to break laws/traditions in order to reach their goal.

Thane and Mordin. Both have had to do abhorrent things, things that they can justify, but events that may also make it 'difficult to sleep' (or would be, if not for drell memory). Walking a morally nebulous path for the greater good sort of thing.


Jacob and Tali. Not at first, but both are loyal to their beliefs but not above questioning or passing judgment on their higher ups. I like to think that, as time went on, Tali's stance towards Jacob softened and they were able to talk as buddies.


Zaeed and Tali. Mostly because the idea amuses me a lot, but Zaeed seems to admire strength and force of will, and Tali, delicate little quarian that she is, is capable of dishing out the pain on a democratic basis with her shotgun. I think Zaeed would respect the fact that even though she's a young, rather fragile engineer, she's willing to put herself in the line of fire to accomplish her goal.

Zaeed and Garrus. A kind of friendly rivalry.

I can't see Jack and Grunt really befriending anyone. Although I can imagine Jack having friendly banter with Zaeed. Grunt doesn't seem to care about anyone other than Shepard.

While not besties, I can see Tali and Garrus having something special due to all they'vbe been through with Shepard.

Kasumi is no doubt friendly with everyone. More so the less hostile ones.

Samara and Thana might get along though I can't see either really making the effort to get chummy due to there circumstances.

I can see Ash and Garrus as drinking buddies.

I doubt Miranda would really have any friends other than Jacob. No one trusts her.

Honestly, it's hard to tell. ME needs scenes similar to KOTOR2 where you'd see a squadmate interaction every time you boarded the ship.
