LOL great scene

the book is even more disturbing IMO - you really get a sense of what it is like living with a person with that type of borderline personality disorder

You didn't find the ending 1,000,000 times more disturbing?

I saw that movie at a midnight screening at a film festival and I had absolutely no idea what it was about, and was totally shocked by the ending

Hmm...probably the scene where the alien bursts out of Kane's chest in the first Alien movie...I saw it when I was about 6 years old...

That's a good scene too. You saw it when you were six? Where were your parents? 0.o

Hmm, not 100% certain - I have a feeling it was my dad's turn to look after me on a weekend, and he got 'Alien' for me to watch while he had some friends over in another room (he did that a lot), probably thinking it was like 'ET' or something.  Or maybe he just didn't care.  He always was the type to undercut mum's rules in order to make himself seem 'cool'.

Hehe, I remember being scared of facehuggers under the bed for quite awhile!

I can't believe that film came out in 1979!  That scene is still damned creepy even nowadays (or maybe it's just me!)

Don't feel bad, my parents took me to see Alien as well when I was around the same age. maybe it was a drive-in. Great movie, one of my all time favorites.

I'm pretty sure this scene from "Family Man" would have traumatized me if I had seen it when I was young enough

That didn't make me grit my teeth. It was ****ed up but it didn't "disturb" me.

I truly love this quirky movie. Saw it as a wee little lad years after it came out. Sounds creepy, but I wanted to be a werewolf too after seeing it. :?

I freaking love that scene! :D  *never watched Alien when I was a kid though. I only saw it parodied in Space Balls.*

~~

Another one that scarred me for life was the troll scene in Cat's Eye:
