Transformers Revenge of the fallen. It's badness did unspeakable things to my mind. Likewise, Beerfest. Those are two movies that even the amusing moments hurt, because I felt dirty and embaresed for enjoying them.

Well, the first horror movie I ever
watched was Alien and it traumatized me, especially the Chest-burster
scene, bear in mind I was only 7 when I watched it.

One of my childhood friends was tramutised by the parody of that scene in Spaceballs.  Gave her nightmares of an alien poping out of her stomach and bursting into song.  Likewise, she was around 7ish.

The scene in Poltergeist where the dude peels off his face. Made me paranoid about any facial cuts and mirrors for days afterward.

Something that stayed with me for ages after watching it at the cinema was the bit in Schindler's List where he is watching the city from the hill above, and he sees the little girl in the red coat - which obviously stands out against the balck and white of the film. She is lost..running around, scared..whatever. That was just so poignant and upsetting :'(

Hello Kitty; The Movie. I watched it with my young niece and have been having nightmares since. I'm also having nightmares after watching those movies with those ponies in that some forum users have as avatars. After playing Hello Kitty with my niece, I'm having even worst nightmares...okay, my niece doesn't watch or play any of these things but the point still stands...these creations give me nightmares whenever I see them.

Pretty much any Holocaust movie traumatizes me. The concentration camp scene in "Band of Brothers" comes to mind too. Hokey fake violence and gore is upsetting on purely visual level, but depictions of stuff that actually happened are truly horrifying. And it doesn't even have to be gratuitous or graphic. I remember "Life Is Beautiful" being a very upsetting movie experience. I also remember the movie "Playing For Time" about women in a concentration camp who were part of the camp orchestra as a means of extending their survival. Brutal stuff.

The scene in Ghostbusters when the dog statues came to life. I had nightmares of those things for awhile.

When I was a kid, I was terrified of the scene in Jurassic Park wherein Wayne Knight's character is killed by a dilophosaurus. Especially when one of them is sat in the passenger seat of his jeep!

I was nine or ten when I saw that movie and during that scene actually sat up on the cinema chair and turned around I didn't want to see it that much.

For some reason the Mask always disturbed me but not in a horrifying way more unsettling.
The trauma for me is probably from films like "Old Yeller" and "Lassie" Image IPB

That French film called "The Skin I Live In." The plot is completely twisted and disturbing. It bothered me a lot more than A Serbian Film did.
You can watch a news segment about the story line here:www.youtube.com/watch

I think I have some wires cut in terms of visual impact. I've had running nightmares about books ('Salem's Lot I hate you so much), but no movies have stayed with me like that.

Jackob's Ladder. The scenes in the subway and hospital. Although the ending was really heartwarming.

The scene in Alien where the thingy pops out of John Hurts' stomach... I was with dad and even he jumped at that.

The Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her Lover... Final scene: "You cannibal" and the meat lorry scene.

Bambi, the scene where Bambi's mother dies. I cried for days afterwards. I saw it when I was five.

The first time I saw the Wizard of Oz, the Flying Monkeys terrified me.

No other movies have really hit as hard.

I have two memorable moments.

1. The Passion of the Christ - I cried through the entire movie, but the flagellation scene was the worst cinematic experience of my life. I could barely watch, sobbed uncontrollably and shook non-stop.

2. Dancer in the Dark - The final scene hurt so much to watch that my ex-boyfriend could hear my heart beating loudly from three feet away.

Oh god, Dancer in the Dark - that scene was awful :(

I STILL can't watch this movie without crying at that scene! Ugh, Disney movies are the absolute worst.

Any time the Childlike Empress appears in The NeverEnding Story.  I would freak out, develop a migraine, and vomit.  Absolutely no idea why.  Apparently my 8-year-old self could deal with demented wolves, laser-eyed statues, dying animals, flying monkeys, the wheelers, and a witch who keeps all her heads in glass cases without an issue, but not some pasty kid staring at the camera.

I can never forget the scene I saw as a child from the film Midnight Express where Billy Hayes was about to be raped by the Turkish guard, then he pushed guard into the wall hangar, killing him from the neck, finally gaining freedom from the prison. In fact much of that movie got to me deeply. I was too young to see that.

The more traumatic part was watching the prisoners walk around that pole like dead, lifeless and hopeless men.

I also can't forget Rutger Hauer in BladeRunner where he saved Harrison Ford, and just before he died as a replicant, poured out the sad reality of how incredible moments experienced "will be lost in time, like tears in rain" before succumbing to death. (this one wasn't traumatic but just memorable, but also a bit too dark for my age :P)
