Ouch... Well... At least you can start over...?

Still sucks. I just made a plate of nachos with fresh salsa, marble cheese and chopped portabelo mushrooms. Have some.

You know, when I first read this I thought you were going to say that you tripped and dropped it, sending it flying across the floor.  That would be in keeping with the OP, and I was all ready to gigglesnort.

PS:  The worst thing about dropping food you just made is that now you not only have to clean it up, you have to make more.  Extra points if that was the last of whatever it was.

Thats nothing.. How about almost 2000 hours of game time on Oblivion having finished EVERYTHING in shivering isles and halfway through Knights of the Nine and almost done with the thieves guild and a good part of the dark brotherhood only to lose it all!

I'm sorry but I feel that was for the greater good. games are fun but every now and then you need to put the controller down and hang out with a friend or something.

Was being semi-ironic. I play on PC and console users can ritually pollute my caste at 60 paces.

So...yeah...

*Moves a safe distance away*

...Over 86 entire days... As in, full-on Day/Night cycles... Of constant Oblivion?

Three constant months.

WTF man, how is that even possible?

Well, the game has been out for over 5 years now...That would be about 2 hours of Oblivion a day. Quite possible, but still pretty insane.
As for the OP, my condolences buddy. At least you only lost four Shepards. That's still a lot of game, but with determination and a lot of free time, you'll be able to recoup your losses in ~3 weeks.

I'm sorry you lost files, but FORTY playthroughs? That I don't believe..

Why not? I've done 34 myself (I don't play many other games unforunately.. a lotta games bore me these days.. so I just replay the ones I like)... Don't see why someone more fanatical couldn't easily do 40.

I would just like to share with with everyone my overwhelming grief since I accidentally deleted all my saved files and DLCs in my Xbox 360 while transferring files. While I know, I could just create another game... I'm still in a state of shock of losing four of my Shepards. Each with more than ten playthroughs.

I think I even shed a tear last night :crying: Yes... I officially suck.

Condolences. Reminds me I really should do another backup.

My 360 hard drive died in February. I lost 10 Shepards, it still pains me.

I have since bought a PC and have started rebuilding in preparation for ME3.

My condolences, my dear.

If it makes you feel better, I wasted around 20 bucks on Bioware points, unaware that they do not apply to Xbox DLC.

We can shed a tear together

umm...maybe get out to a party or something once in a while bud...

ya know...actual socializing

HAHA saw this coming.  Assuming I spent 2000 hours nonstop.  I suppose you can't do anything else until you finish a game?

Use Gibbed's save editor. Conduct your own Lazarus Project and raise your Shepard from the grave!

Oh wait, you're a 360 player... I can only offer my condolences then...

Trust the power of winter break plus summer break combined with friends who played some of my games.

that really sucks I had to get a new xbox live account so sadly I had to replay the ME series to get back to where I was :crying:. Although I gotta say I could never play any of the ME games 40 times, I got tired after just 2 playthroughs .

Thanks for the condolences guys, I just needed to let it out. Duke, Rafael, Sabrina and Simone Shepard will always be remembered. Time for a new Shepard, I guess am starting out with either adept or infiltrator and a neither paragon/renegade playthrough.

P.S It is a common misconception that just because you're a hard core gamer, you automatically equate to someone who has no social life. I don't do the side missions in all my games btw, only in 2 for importing purposes when ME3 comes out so that would explain why I finish games so fast.

LOL Duke shepard that's pretty funny. I wouldn't worry about other peoples opinions regarding you play a lot=nerd, besides I'm sure most people on these forums get those same misconceptions.

R.I.P. Epic Mass Effect, Fallout 3 and Oblivion files. You will be missed. :(
