was just over at Gamefaqs and noticed that in the pc forum theres talk of the 360 verison being leaked. How badly  is this going to hurt sells, and do the devs know about this yet?

the only proper course of action now is to make the game available early for all paying customers, let the downloading begin!

As for all games, music and movies, it won't hurt sales and there is nothing Bioware can do about it anyway. This thread prolly needs to be closed however.

Agree. "A friend" will download the PC game, but he has preordered it. But 3 days earlier are 3 days earlier :P

People have gotten the game early from stores anyway and the spoilers are already out there. Wont hurt sales too much as people who decided they were gonna buy it will buy it and people who chose they will get it by other means will do that.

Nothing the devs can do about it with the torrent already up so it doesn't matter if they know. I doubt its really going to have much of an impact on sales though.

They can't really know, it can come from ANY of the retailers to who they delivered the game already, it can be one of the version delivered for a review, it can be someone who made a copy for himself when the game gone to the press, there's just so many people who can have done that.

Just sad.

If I was them though I would of put unique serial keys and kept track of who I gave them to prior to release

Any idiot who pirates a 360 game deserves the lock-out he gets.

The problem is, it's not that easy to do, and hackers would find a way to change it in a matter of day if not hours.

Modern Warfare 2 has already been leaked for the 360 as well. And people say piracy is mostly a PC problem.

This is what happens when a developer refuses to provide a console walkthrough of the game. I don't really blame whoever leaked the 360 version at least we will be able to see how it runs before buying it now...

No, there is no excuse. There have been plenty of console videos released in the last couple of weeks.

There is not excuse, Piracy is Piracy. Doing it will hurt Bioware, and ultimatley us as they may bring some of those disgusting DRM's/ Check disks back, I know crackers break them evenutally but they will take steps to try and stop it.

I truely hope that no one in this forum downloads it, how can you claim to be part of the community and carry that out. At worse you will have to wait a few more days, I know it's frustrating to see other people posting that they are playing it because a store sold it to them early but you will soon have it in hand and there is no reason to encourage those who would torrent etc this.

Common people hold firm, Bioware have delivered outstanding games to us, this looks to be another no need to wonder down a dark path.

P.s. BewareThe draw, I'd edit the "source " of the download out the mods wont like that.

Those claiming that "a store sold it early" are sometimes just trying to cover that they simply downloaded it.

People surely understand that piracy is wrong, however not all people just download the game. Most of the people download a game, try it and buy it if they like it. I know the game won't disappoint me so I'll just wait for it myself. All this talk about piracy reminds me of south park. How can it not be a big deal when an artist or company has to wait a week more to have that golden swimming pool.

Well, early leaks on consoles arn't anywhere near as bad for sales as leaks on the PC version. Unlike a PC, where a leak could equal easy piracy by anyone with a PC, piracy on consoles require modifying the console which very very few people ever do. Anyone who could use a pirated console game was probably going to pirate it anyway, regardless of the leak. Hence, I doubt this will really affect sales.
