I play blind, but there's always a couple decisions that I really regret later so I do a perfect run for import to the next game.
You wont have to worry about that in ME3

My first playthrough is usually blind, but my "canon" playthrough is never my first. I want to play my main Shepards' story as I want it, including the outcomes of decisions. As long as I can give in-character reasons for the decisions I make, I don't mind using foreknowledge.

There's a good chance that Bioware will continue the Mass Effect franchise after ME3. It just wont have Shepard in it. It's possible that we will still be able to import our ME3 saves for background info.EternalAmbiguity wrote...

then I'll go for perfection on my 4th or 5th playthrough
