Although, I would not have tried Vanguard if I hadn't read the quality guides floating around the forums (Vanguard is now canon for me).

I always spend a couple of playthroughs trying things out, making the choices I think are the best, and one playthrough with the complete opposite of those choices, then doing a perfect run later on. I tend to replay games quite alot.
Not much of a completionist though, I always leave some side-quests unfinished. Don't care about achievements either.

I'm going to go in blind if I don't get ninjaspoiled (not going to be looking for spoilers).
...Unless someone/a lot of people die that I reeeeeally don't want to. Then I'll be chanting "Sh!t, sh!t SH!T!" and jumping onto the BSN.

I try to get everything and anything. Even if it requires several playthroughs on ME1. I want my game to have everyone live and everything good happen. lol
I will probably go in blind w/ characters I don't care about as much. But then, after several playthroughs, I'll play through my canon shepard.

The only time I have ever used a walkthrough in Mass Effect 1 and 2 is to look for any sidemissions I missed. However they always come in subsequent playthroughs after my first. My carry over save for ME3 is from help of a walkthrough but as I said, only to help me find all the side missions so that I haven't missed anything out come ME3.
That's how I use walkthroughs as well, but ME isn't the kind of game where players get "stuck", per se.
I've seen what's in ME3 and have read about such things, but I won't say I was "spoiled" necessarily since my game will be different than what I saw in the walkthrough. As I said before though, ME is not a game where players can get "stuck." And most of the frustrating fun is trying to figure out how to get through yourself (Insane combat for instance)

I say this because given all the variables, varying consequences of said variables before the choice is even made ...
If you mean perfection as in "I'm a Completionist" not worrying about the outcome - even if you are worried, that's different.
