First playthrough will be blind. If it's going to end really badly, like my favourites dies or I even lose totally and loading is not going help, then I'm going to check guides and forums to find some helpful tips.

I never really felt the need to read strategy guides for the ME games.

Although, I would not have tried Vanguard if I hadn't read the quality guides floating around the forums (Vanguard is now canon for me).

Uh, hell no. After my good, bad and worst playthroughs, yes but not before exploring every option I can myself. I do my on way of obtaining perfection by trying to do every little choice I can the way I want to do it

I'm going blind.
I always spend a couple of playthroughs trying things out, making the choices I think are the best, and one playthrough with the complete opposite of those choices, then doing a perfect run later on. I tend to replay games quite alot.
Not much of a completionist though, I always leave some side-quests unfinished. Don't care about achievements either.

I'm going to go in blind if I don't get ninjaspoiled (not going to be looking for spoilers).

...Unless someone/a lot of people die that I reeeeeally don't want to. Then I'll be chanting "Sh!t, sh!t SH!T!" and jumping onto the BSN.

Going in blind on initial play-through. I've done it since the first game.

That reminds me, I went into Mass Effect 2 almost completely blind. Until I watched the trailers that came with Collectors Edition, I have never seen any of them. The most I've seen was the SyFy character promo and I believe 2 tv reviews. I wish I could go into ME3 like that but hell I already seen more than that with the 2 or 3 E3 videos I watched and since 2 got my really hooked on the series, I can take my eyes off of anything I can get my hands on. I pray that BW doesn't do any story trailers because I am going to watch them anyway lol

I usually use my "perfect paragade (but still mostly paragon)" game for my canon shepard.

I try to get everything and anything. Even if it requires several playthroughs on ME1. I want my game to have everyone live and everything good happen. lol

I will probably go in blind w/ characters I don't care about as much. But then, after several playthroughs, I'll play through my canon shepard.

The only time I have ever used a walkthrough in Mass Effect 1 and 2 is to look for any sidemissions I missed. However they always come in subsequent playthroughs after my first. My carry over save for ME3 is from help of a walkthrough but as I said, only to help me find all the side missions so that I haven't missed anything out come ME3.

That's how I use walkthroughs as well, but ME isn't the kind of game where players get "stuck", per se.

I've seen what's in ME3 and have read about such things, but I won't say I was "spoiled" necessarily since my game will be different than what I saw in the walkthrough. As I said before though, ME is not a game where players can get "stuck." And most of the frustrating fun is trying to figure out how to get through yourself (Insane combat for instance)

I'll TRY to go in blind first time round, THEN perfect it.

I don't think it's possible to perfect it on your first try unless you mean straight Paragade, but I doubt many would end up like that. I am not re-opening that debate.

I say this because given all the variables, varying consequences of said variables before the choice is even made ...

If you mean perfection as in "I'm a Completionist" not worrying about the outcome - even if you are worried, that's different.

I'm going to play my first time as "blind" as I can. Obviously, being in these boards has the potential to ruin some of the game, but I'm trying to be careful about it.
