Seriously. Everyone on the site has asked nicely, still nothing. it just boggles my mind. Maybe I'm upset for no reason. Should I just accept my broken product and shut up?

Seeing as EA provides the official tech support for the game, you, and everyone else with the problem, need to contact them, and lodge an official support request with them. Once the issue is flagged with a good amount of complaints, then EA will be forced into allocating resources into providing a fix for the problem.
Dont expect anything to happen if you just come to the unofficial tech support forums and make a complaint here.

^ If that is the case then why have Bioware provided tech support for other issues related to the game? They are willing to respond to issues relating to the Cerberus network, save compatibilty etc., but refuse to address bugs/glitches for the game that they developed.

They haven't even addressed my forum profile related issue I posted yesterday.

As I said yesterday, Ignorance is bliss.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this game, the story is deep, the characters each have their own issues.
The gameplay is great. The Paragon and Renegade system really gets you involved.

And I love Jennifer Hale (one of my favorite voice actresses). :)

It's just disheartening to see issues like the audio etc., and the occassional freezing I've encountered break the enjoyment. :(

As has been stated by Bioware reps in the past, they dont actually get paid to do anything on these forums, and attend here in their own free time. Chris Priestly, being the community liason, is the one exception. So any help you have recived from them in the past, has been purely voluntary.

Here it is, in black and white, for you to read.

Mass Effect 2 Playstation 3 Technical Support
This forum is for fans and owners of Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 to assist each other with technical questions. Official game support is provided by Electronic Arts, but fans are encouraged to try to assist each other here.

If you have problems with this website, then you need to go to the appropriate forum for it.

As I said, if you want anything to be done officially, you need to follow the official reporting procedures. Contact EA, get your support ticket lodged, insist on being given reference number. If everyone starts to do it, the powers that be will start paying attention. If they dont, start a group, get everyone who lodged a ticket to join up and list their reference number.

I did that already - yesterday? http://social.biowar...index/7752876/1

The powers that be should have started to pay attention the moment the issues were raised.
The Community Coordinator being one of them.

Sorry if I'm harsh, but I'm wasting my time.

I work as a volunteer too on a forum for a major game developer who have the same attitude.
They didn't address game breaking bugs all of which were heavily reported through their Technical Support on our advice. We never did get the patch, and if their attitude is anything to go by, it's very unlikely EA will bother either.

This will be my last post on the technical forum (unless I get a response).

I've just ordered ME for PC as I don't have an Xbox360.
Yes, perhaps I should have started on ME first, but were it not for playing the ME2 Demo, I would have never experienced this gem.

Even for site issues they don't respond lol - it's laughable.
EA couldn't help either when I spoke to them

I've played ME2 4x already with the messed up audio. I want to replay it again (because it's so awesome) but with fixed audio. Some people are saying that Bioware doesn't handle the technical stuff and that EA does. Well if that's the case then to whoever from Bioware is reading this; can you please tell EA to fix this problem? ME2 is probably the best game of this generation and it's sad that it exists in such an imperfect state.

Meh, I just posted in here to offer advice on how things get done in the service and support industry, and people think I'm making excuses. I dont use consoles for this exact reason, having to wait for other people to fix bugs instead of being able to fix it myself.
@Ghats: If you have your support ticket number, I suggest you start a group, get others to join listing their support ticket numbers, and get the ball rolling. The more people who do this, the more the chances you will be heard, and the problem fixed.
@Megabug7: I checked out your other thread in the Site help. Your problem was actually an account problem, not a site problem. Thats somethign only EA supoprt themselves can help you with. Can only suggest you keep bugging them until it gets fixed. Unfortnately, they do have a tendancy to hire muppets to do their support.
@Romudeth: Official Tech Support for the game is handled by EA, as EA owns Bioware. These forums are unofficial, user to user support forums, and when it comes to dealing with consoles, not a lot can be done as you cannot tinker with them the same way you can with PCs.

If you truly want something done, and you cant be bothered going to EA support, send a message to Chris Priestly and/or EA_AgentX.

Thanks for the heads up. I sent EA a message via twitter about this so I'm hoping they see it. Do you think we should actually call up EA on the phone? If that would actually get results then I'm willing to try. Although I'm not expecting a knowledgable person to be on the other end of the phone. lol

Direct chat with an EA administrator on official EA support site:
...........................................................................................
Kaine: Hi, my name is Kaine. How may I help you?

[NAME]: Sound is cutting off during cut scenes.

[NAME]: I am not the only one having this problem.

Kaine: I am sorry to know that

Kaine: Let me check that

[NAME]: it has been doing so since the last patch

[NAME]: really annoying.

[NAME]: http://social.biowar...-7065026-1.html

[NAME]: link to Bioware social forum discussing this matter

Kaine: I would better suggest to you that please post this issue in our official game forum "http://social.bioware.com/forums/"

Kaine: And the follow players will provide you the solution

Kaine: These forums are maintained and monitored by the community leaders and production team. By posting on these forums you will be able to submit direct feedback to the appropriate person. Please make sure that you follow the EA terms of service when posting. You must have an EA member account in order to post on the forum.

[NAME]: aren't you supposed to do that? support? Atleast you can fil in a request so that a patch may come out.

[NAME]: and we did post there

[NAME]: that is where the link is from

Kaine: "http://social.bioware.com/forums/"

Kaine: You need to post in the above link

[NAME]: again we posted on the social bioware forums

Kaine: And these post are viewed by the developer of the game

[NAME]: check the link!

Kaine: When they this issue in the forum then they provide the solution for the issue

[NAME]: so you cant even file a request to investigate the problem?

Kaine: I will forward the request. As I also suggest to you that please post the issue in the above link

[NAME]: Again we did that already, many times. Thank you for your time.

.............................................................................................................................................................................................................

That was my discussion with an EA support admin. So all you saying bug EA to fix the audio problems need to know that Bioware first has to acknowledge the problem and then fix it!

This is what it says at the top of this forum

"Mass Effect 2 Playstation 3 Technical Support

So we are posting in the wrong place at least now we are. not sure how long that has been there.

So EA support tells us to post here
Bioware tells us to post on EA.

I see a problem here :D

I say we contact IGN or Gamespot....if they will show how BioWare treats to her customers it will sure damage their reputation and they'll have to fix their bugged game!!!

EA support for Dragon Age was top notch when I called them for the missing Return to Ostagar DLC from the Ultimate edition. I got my code right away. So.. no complains there...
However on this matter, they really dropped the ball (Bioware and EA). It can't be a coincidence that all my friends who have the game on PS3 have the same problem with the audio glitch-lag.

Nope. BioWare couldn't replicate the issue consistently, so they dropped it and have no plans for a patch.

You do realise that they've moved on from ME2 right? Chances are that because they couldn't replicate the issue, they decided that the issue will be fixed...
for Mass Effect 3 XD. I bet you that all resources are going into ME3 at the moment ^_^

I didn't have any problems with the game till after the patch there would be clicks and pops during load screens. Eventually, the laser module started crapping out and was having problems reading the disc, and I though that was the reason for some of the minor audio issues and so when I got my PS3 back there were still clicks and pops and I decided to reinstall ME2. After that it got worse, the audio go lossy and there were some rendering problems with the graphics. I recently bough a PS3 slim and installed ME2 on that andthe issues got even worse. I know have the problems with audio getting clipped.

Bioware says it can't replicate the bug and seeing as the first time I installed ME2 nothing was wrong. Maybe there's some sort of physical error w/ the game disc. What wee need to find out is if people who downloaded ME2 from the PSN are having the same issues as people who have the game disc.
