Well, there's a huge section of the film where Chicago is basically wrecked, and everywhere is various Decepticons, their vehicles, etc, and, by the by, you see PLENTY of people being killed, its not implied, its VERY obvious.  So just seeing this wrecked city, and giant robotic monsters all around...made me think of how some of the early ME3 would look live.

What? For a minute, I thought that you were going to say that there was some advertisement for Mass Effect 3 in TF3 or something.

Doesn't this basically describe every Michael Bay film?

Just replace Chicago with any other city and you're diamonds.

Or are you referring to the quality of the writing? :bandit:

I thought this would be a troll thread.

I don't know what those dashing Reapers have to do with that Scrap Gone Wild in those Michael Bay movies.

Expected to be a troll thread.

It's not, but still confuses the hell out of me.

No, its not a troll thread. All I'm saying is just the way the city is wrecked, and that you have a lot of giant robots(not all humanoid either thats the point) slowly moving through the city, floating/flying around, people getting killed, it kinda made me think of when the Reapers hit Earth is all. Oh yeah, Harbinger voices one of the Decepticons, this little vulture-like thing that kills a bunch of people suprisingly. And in a side note, look for THE COLE TRAIN from Gears of War as a soldier.

I'm no Transformers fan, but I'm pretty certain I've never seen a decepticon that looks like a giant reaper cuttlefish in either state and fail to see how you couldn't easily use scenes from just about any disaster/war/sci-fi type movie.

I hear that Battle:LA was similar in evilspacerobotz and crappyness, you could make a comparison with that, too.

There weren't robots in Battle: LA. And it was an okay movie. The aliens wanted Earth's water, not its people like the decepticons and reapers.

Battle: LA wasn't nearly as terrible as people make it out to be. I think the problem is that most people were going in for sci-fi and instead got what boils down to a generic war movie. I mean, really, you could replace all the aliens with the Russians or the Chinese and not notice any significant difference.

I dont mean the cuttlefish, I just mean some distance shots with various big aerial robotic monsters slowly moving through the city wrecking it just made me think of ME3, thats all. Nothing big,

So there are Russian/Chinese motherships that control their aerial vehicles?

A central command and control center that if eliminated would mean their UAVs quit working? I imagine so. Though, we're not stupid enough to put our UAV command posts in the middle of enemy territory.

But seriously, we're probably a decade, maybe two, from our entire airforce being replaced by UAVs. Our aircraft are already capable of doing things that would kill a human pilot, we just need to get battlefield AI figured out and we're golden. Granted you'd have to set it about 20 years in the future, but still, not too difficult to replace the aliens in that movie with humans.

Yes, putting an entire army on the internets is a good idea! SONY hackers will get a new toy!

Transformers 3 was mother****ing badass. Bay needs to learn that we really don't care about the terrible jokes, but it was a pretty decent film. The Robots vs Humans war was something that Terminator promised, but never gave us. It's no Oscar winning film, but it was damn good entertainment value.

I hope Mass Effect 3 gives us a battle where Bumblebee curbstomps two Reapers into the ground :D

Hmm...Transformers VS Reapers...that would actually be interesting...although one sided. Quick question...Did that new Victoria Secret Model screw the character over?

I was actually quite pleased with the decision to sack Fox after I saw the new Love Interest. Where as Fox's character was pretty much a skank, the new girl is charming, sweet, and a better actress all round. Shia also managed to make his character a thousand times less annoying, which I was also pleased about. It somehow managed to avoid being a campy film. Oh, and Leonard Nimoy voices one of the main Transformers.
