Hi all,

June this year i bought a new computer and Mass Effect 1. I LOVED playing  Me1!! I DO
I just replayed for the third time and finally have my red haired green eyed Femshep at  level 60...

3 days free now! so i finally started Me2....with my imported savegame.

Bioware i hate you!  why no Omnigel ore credits solution  in bypass ore hack datapad ore something like it!

I have a physical problem with my hands and 1 eye .. ( i lost some fingers and 1 eye and  thumb) So it is impossible for me to do the bypass and continue the game.

I googled on hacks and trainers  and installed some of them  to try and disable the timer.... ( didnt work) and my virusscanner was busy also! ( many hacks and trainers just cant be trusted.)

I invited a friend who did the bypass on Lorek... But as soon as he done it he was shot dead.. and we couldnt saave the game after the succesfull byepass.

It took me more as 12 hours now and i am completly stuck . It is just physical for me impossible to do the bypass security.

I went to Omega and bought the double time thingie to bypass but even then i cant go on...

I was looking so much forward to go on in Mass Effect 2 with my femshep but i guess the way it is setup i never will finish it.

Thank you Bioware! I hate you for that.

I will continue now with my Jack Vance and larry Niven SF books and play Star Control 2 again.

many regards from the Netherlands

I am deeply disapointed on ME2 for this and i also lost my fun in playing ME1 knowing i probably never can finish the game follow up,  and have to see how it goes on a walktrough on Youtube.

1. We sympathize with you for the injuries you've suffered, of course.

2. We aren't Bioware in here. This is a Self-Help forum, by gamers for gamers, where game-players come to ask for advice and suggestions from other gamers.

So, we can't assist you in any way that I can imagine, sorry.

There have been others with physical disabilities who had problems with the minigames. As Gorath Alpha said this subforum isn't the best place to contact BioWare devs.

You can try talking to some Bioware devs on Twitter. I believe Manveer Heir works on gameplay. Preston Watamaniuk, lead designer, is now also lead gameplay designer since Christina Norman left BioWare. I'd also direct you to the ME2 general discussion board, but the devs are now most active in the ME3 forums.

Thanks a lot for the replies!

When i wrote the message i was really frustrated!:pinched:
I looked so much forward on playing mass effect 2....

I found a solution.. Its a stupid one but its the only one that is working.

I avoid all the hacking.. sometimes i try one but with no succes.

What i do now is whenever i am on a critical point  were a terminal a datapad ore a bypass MUST be done. I save my game. Then i email my savegame to another player that i know from Cyberspace. She loads my savegame.. does the part were i am stuck and as soon as possible after that saves the game and emails me the updated savegame back so i can continue.

the 2 replies you gave me are really apreciated! thanks again.
I have emailed bioware about the problems i encountered .. ow man i hate thoose minigames!
most fun for me is the interaction and the rpg aspects in the game and the SF story it is telling you when you play.

At least i can continue now!:)

Take care and many regards from The Netherlands.

I know, using a trainer is lame, but, in this case...
There is a trainer from www.cheathappens.com. Among its options, it has the capabilty of skipping these boring minigames. I quote verbatim from the Readme.txt of the trainer:
"Numpad .: Mini Game Timers - this option will help you solve both minigame types.
For the first minigame type, you just press SPACE three times and you are
done.  For the second type just click on 2 sockets and you are done."
Tried it; it works. If you want to enjoy ME2, just leave alone the other options and restrict yourself to use this one.

I installed the trainer already and tried.. although if i press F1 and press. I hear Enabeld ore Disabled.. it doesnt work (:

I think it is because i am running the game on win 7 64 bit. I think that is one of the major problems in Me2.

There must nbe a conflict in Me2 and win7 (64).. See my other message about not beeing able to connect to cerberus network.

anyway thanks a lot for the reply! Mucho apreaciated!!

There is a mod somewhere that allows you to walk through solid objects. I believe one of the numpad keys is a toggle so you can go through a door and then turn if off again. That fixes the problem where you have to bypass to get through a door. I don't remember where I found this mod so you may have to ask about it on one of the other subforums.

Also, since you skip the hacking you're not getting a lot of credits. You may want to use Gibbed's Save Editor (google it) to give yourself a lot of money.

@Emphyr
Running on Win7 64 bit too. Have you downloaded the right trainer for your version? Trainer for ME2 1.01 doesn't work with 1.02, and vice-versa (I've never seen this very trainer for 1.00). You have to use the numpad dot only one time, and you must hear "Activated". When it's activated, you should see these things whenever you open a minigame: a) in "hacking" minigame, the screen scrolls at turbo speed, and you only have to press space 3 times; B) in "bypass" minigame, there are only 2 sockets, and plenty of time to select them. If you deactivate the trainer by pressing again the dot, the minigames get back to normality. You have to activate this feature before entering a minigame - well, activate it when you start playing ME2 and forget about it. Sorry if this is unclear; English is not my mother tongue.

I tried all trainers But it makes the game crash. maybe it because i have all the DLC's ??

and uh English is not my mother tngue alos .. My Dutch is better :

but anyway thanks a lot for the replies and thinking with me

Mucho apreciated!!

i found a little solution that sometimes works!

i set the game options to the minimal 800x600 and then in a window.

OK it sometimes takes 100+ tries but sometimes i suceed:)

Emphyr-

There is a feature in Windows Vista/Windows 7 called the User Account Control that can cause crashing issues with no warning and cause some connectivity issues.
I've included the FAQ on how to disable it: http://support.ea.co...detail/a_id/380

If the UAC is picking up the trainers as a possible "problem" program, it can cause the crashing.

I read that ea help thread, and I'm just curious, but how does turning something off then back on fix this problem? The reason I ask is, it just doesn't seem like that would change anything. Am I missing something? Does it have to do with running the game once without UAC? I saw another help thread for another game that talked about turning some feature of Windows 7 off, then back on again, and folks there were complaining that it didn't do anything.

If this works for this problem, maybe it will fix others and I can add it to my "repertoire" of possible solutions for getting a game/program to run.

UAC is Microsoft's fault. It causes crashes in many apps, not only trainers. XP didn't have such a ****ty feature; Vista had it, and Win7 has inherited it. The only solution? Disable it. Sorry, Emphyr: I didn't think about UAC, because I always disable it on any new Win7 installation.

Ow Sorry EA agent i was so busy playing the game! i missed your reply ..... ( silly me) But Hey!

She  MADE IT !!

My Nicole Shepard Finaly managed to save the galaxy!! I am so proud on her!
The most difficult thing she had to do in the entire game was Bypass doors with hand /eye Coordination but finally she managed after buying 2 delays ! SHE MADE IT!

I am so proud about Nicole!

She is resting in her cabin now enjoying the fish and Kelly's lapdance. She is also reading the Jack Vance novel Tschai! She hopes to meet Adam Reith and is able to invite him to her captains cabin!

Take Care you all and again thanks for all the help!

Hey nice one, Emphyrio :) I'm very happy to hear about Nicole's success and hope that ME3 makes those mini games easier for you. I know what you mean - I have 2 sheps resting up in their cabins smoking the big cigar having saved their respective galaxies :) It's a great feeling when you get there isn't it? ;)
