Sure I have seen the screenshots but can someone explain the nitty gritty of how it all works?

I'm not sure how anyone could yet. All anyone has seen is those screenshots.

I thought there had been interview explanations I might have missed.

From what I've gathered it would be a similar thing to how you got a choice between two versions of the final power upgrade in ME2. Only instead of getting just one choice, you'd get multiple choices as you upgrade to power.

As for the nitty gritty (how many choices per power, what do the choices focus on, etc), we simple don't know anything beyond the fact that the feature exists.

I'm sure that somewhere it was mentioned that you don't need to evolve one power to unlock an other one. Now it's all tied to level. Grr, where was it...

Here it is, yep.

Based on the screen shots it looks like you can only evolve one very small aspect of a power per level, such as cooldown but not others, I imagine it would depend on the points you have...but it would suck it you could only evolve a very small aspect...

The screenshots I saw showed points being split on multiple aspects.

Exactly, which could mean you could evolve only a tiny aspect at a time...

I think every step you can choose between +20% health and +15% damage and +15% health and +20% damage. I don't expect anything big.

I assumed It's like tree. You make choise and it goes certain direction, what player did choose.

Example do you remember ME2 last choise in powers? Same way in ME3, but can have more than two choise and more than one time the choises can come. So, that's why I say it's like tree. Start with one kind power, then split by choise, split by choise again.
