I've got the PC DA:O, all the starter DLC, the storage chest and respec raven addons, and have downloaded but not installed the Toolset.  What are the risks to patching my game to 1.01b?

I've read a lot about people suddenly having problems with the game, not being able to run it, glitches and whatnot, after patching.  I'd rather play the unpatched version if that's going to be the alternative.

I'm running XP, and have a substandard video card that still seems to work okay (Geforce 7600, yes really, upgrading isn't possible, I tried).  I get the increasingly long load times problem after 4-6 hours of play (Tower of Ishal, usually).  I mention these things only in case they're relevant.

So, what do people think?
