If it's an isolated case wherein I can have them knocked out safely and put aside, I'd risk it. Otherwise, I'll pull the trigger myself. They are my team and I owe them that much. I would hope that they'd do the same for me. This actually goes double for my LI, which is Thane, who believes so strongly in self-determination.

Same here, but I don't want it to be "just for the sake of doing it!" The reason would have to make that choice absolute. And yes, I would definitely think my squadmates would do the same, but again it would depend on the reasoning.

If push comes to shove, I'd do myself in before any of my squadmates. BW didn't make it a point to care for them for nothing!! They probably react the same way, too. It's more than a "Put me/them out of my/their misery" thing. For me, anyway.

I really hope there's never a cure for indoctrination.

"Something" about these robot-cuttlefish things needs to strike awe.

Could I kill indoctrinated squadmate? Yes, there is more at stake than their lives.
Do I want to do it? No way (especially if BW is going force the issue to us), but you don't always get what you like.

Then again there is always chance to start new game and try to avoid the whole situation. :)

To be honest, in the game situation what I would probably do would be to make a save before the indoctrination sequence starts, let the squadmate live in one playthrough and find out if there's a cure and how problematic the consequences of it are, and then determine the best course of action.

* Minor Spoiler *

Well, there MIGHT be a cure for it anyway. Remember Shiala, the Green Asari, was indoctrinated but was fine after the mission on Feros. (If you let her live that is) It's possible there are ways around it. So I would hope not to have to kill people. However if I HAD to:

Miranda - Most likely she'd off herself if it started to happen.
Garrus - Same as Miranda, either that or he'd ask me to. I'd feel bad about it.

What'd you say?

Sure I would, but if I'd need to kill Miri, I'd have Shepard turn the gun on himself and pull the trigger one more time.

Yes, I would. No one deserves to be under the command of a Reaper, their lives would never be the same again. I'd do it for the empathy.

If they are indoctrinated they die. I wouldnt want to live as a mindless slave for genocidal space machines, so I would expect them to do the same for my shep.

Of course, if my shep where indoctrinated none of them could stop him...

I would kill them all if it means defeating the reapers, no individual is more important than the mission.

Miranda- Bullet to the brain pan
Jacob- Let him go but if I see him on the battle field, I'd drop him
Joker- I need my pilot, I'd find a cure no matter the cost
Jack- Cryogenic freeze until after the reapers are dead
Chakwas- I don't know, probably take her out with a head shot out of respect
Grunt- Supposedly the perfect Krogan, right? No choice but to put him down
Garrus- Find a cure, no matter the cost
Zaeed- He's lived trough a bullet to the brain so I'd space him just to be sure
Kasumi- You can't lock her up, she'd escape so she's dead
Thane- Kill, no remorse
Tali- Cryogenic freeze until after the reapers are dead
Liara- Cryogenic freeze until after the reapers are dead
Mordin- He's had a full life, I think he's ready to go, so kill
Samara- Kill her, indoctrinated or not, she's my least favorite character
Morinth- Never picked her but for about two seconds to get her special power, so dead real quick
Virmire Survivor- Cryogenic freeze until after the reapers are dead
Wrex- Take him out

So, this is basically yet another "character hate thread", is that it?

I imagine with all the reapers flying aroung this will be a real concern so if one of your squad members got indoctrinated and you had the option of killing them, letting them go or trying to find a cure.  But finding a cure comes at a cost you lose a third of your fleet to fight the reapers, Who lives ?

Miranda- lives
Jacob- Unless he proves more useful storywise I have to say bye to my brother.
Joker- dead.
Jack- lives
Chakwas- She'd probably tell me to kill her, who am I to disagree.
Grunt- lives.
Garrus- lives.
Zaeed- dies.
Kasumi- dies.
Thane- If his condition is cured he lives otherwise he dies.
Tali- lives.
Liara- lives.
Mordin- sedated and kept in a jack like cry unit until cure is found otherwise you know he'd escape.
Samara- dead.  (Conflicted about that one though)
Morinth-  dead.
Virmire Survivor- dead.
Wrex- lives.

those are my choices what would yours be ?

Everyone dies, but I laugh at a Joker husk. He wouldn't be able to come close to me :P

No it isn't because the verb could implies significally that these are people you care for. I don't "like" Jack; however, I wouldn't kill her. I could, but I wouldn't.  There's a difference there.

Every player can kill their squadmates, but I guess, "would they"? would be the better question. Again, this is not about like or hate. Would you sacrifice yourrself for a teammate or have him or her do the same for you? Preference is not part of this question.

I think that with the multitude of such threads, it's difficult to discern if you come across another one.
