You know, the Xbox 360 motion sensing system.
Will it be like this?

Whatever marketing jargon they come up with, it's implimented for one reason. Microsoft says so.

In an interview with the developer of Minecraft, Notch, he states that Microsoft, more or less forced him to impliment kinect features into the game, in order to bring it to the Xbox.

Why? Because the Kinect line up was anticlimatic and failed to live up to the expectations of Milo, and the other demonstrations, and is essentially a slightly less crap Nintendo Wii.

So, Microsoft administered some leverage on Bioware, who I presume were forced to sub contrract some people in the know how, and add 'revolutionary voice commands' which have been around for almost ten years.

At least the fact that they tried to sell voice commands as something radically new during E3 was hilarious.

One would think that they should be able to implement voice commands with out the Kinect on a PC at lease.

(mmmm... Foosball table)

One would then realise the PC version will be a console port.

Kinky.

On the Kinect, I personally don't care for the thing at all.

But the support in ME3 shouldn't get in the way of my normal gameplay, therefore, I don't mind it.

I admit, I giggled at the picture.

I don't care. The only reason why it bothers me is because I know one of my brothers is going to do a drive by 'GARRUS: MOVE FORWARD' and send the poor bastard right into the line of fire, just to ****** me off.

Kinect would only make us all depressed, when we realize none of us has reach.

Not much, absolute useless for me. Wasted developers time. That's what I think.

Honestly I was playing a game with voice commands a couple of weeks ago and I only needed a microphone. Kinect adds nothing that a microphone can't do. I'm glad Bioware went for the most minor feature imaginable. A feature doesn't even require Kinect.

There were Xbox games before Kinect that used voice commands, but now Microsoft wants people to believe the only way for the game to hear your voice is with a hundred dollar paper weight. It doesn't matter. I doubt Kinect will make it to the next generation of consoles so hopefully it will just be a memory in three years.

It's hard to think much of a feature which is pretty pointless. Now I personally think it would be interesting if PS3 versions could use the Playstation Move for aiming instead of the analog stick. It's annoying to swing my arms around, but I always liked the idea of more shooters allowing support for Move. Not saying to completely alter the controls but if there was an option to aim with the Playstation Move then that would be an optional feature worth speculating about.

The picture....LMAO!

But in all seriousness, I might use it myself, when I get the Kinect. I'm interested to see how effective it is.

IMO - MS is using the Kinect, or rather is now moving to use it as an peripheral feature in core games, as they clearly want to expand into having a higher majority of core gamers buy and like the technology - which, tbh they don't, me included, a normal controller is perfect for all of the games I play.

Now, they decide to use a strategy of "tacking on" Kinect support/features to core games such as ME3 and the upcoming Halo reboot to show that core gamers can also experience it - what!?!

I did think that the use of the Kinect in ME3 in particular is pretty cool and interesting, but I definitely wont be queuing any time soon to pick up a Kinect just because so and so AAA title or core game uses it.

That shouldn't even be possible since Kinect differentiates voices.

At least, that's how it works with me. Other people talking to me don't interfere with my games even if they say a command Kinect should recognize. But when I make the commands, it reacts as intended.
