New Epic Character Builders Guild Forums

The new board offers higher customization opportunities compared to the social forum group and and also to the old legacy guild, in addition to not being under threat of deletion any moment. If you are looking for a place where to post your new build ideas, then the new forums is what you are looking for.
New ECB Guild Forums

Now that a new and sparkly ECB has been resurrected, novice builders (like yo mismo) desperately need some diverse opinions and suggestions. (or perhaps we just flourish on abuse?
It's been up and operating for almost a month now since Kail's initial announcement and, sadly, there has been little activity on a rather well-conceived, poster-friendly forum... though some of the good 'ol faces poke in occasionally. But there have been some new players (new to the ECB, anyway) seeking advice where some encouragement would help to keep this great game alive and kicking.
So for all the community that has made it this far with the rest of us (and especially all you lurker vets that need a reason to remember the voyage!)... stop by, sign up and partake. I understand Grom is still brewing these days, so take advantage, eh?

Apparently, BSN was unsympathetic about accommodating that request, hence the impetus to create one before all our minds suffer from senility. It also contains pre-epic Lvl 20 and Lvl 30 builds which suit the constraints of many servers and modules, builds which cannot be found with the WoG search engine.Lowlander wrote...
I'd rather just have it here in a sub forum, not some other place with a new login just for posting a build, especially since at this point we already have:

Personally, I am grateful for not having to languish waiting for proactivity to kick in. It already has!
BTW, unless it would change in the future, the account is provided absolutely free-of-charge to all.

I'd suggest joining and posting a build request in that subtopic of the Character Building section. Be as specific as possible, like whether it will be primarily for roleplay fun or for powergaming, those sort of details. Include a description of your gameplay style and the server name wouldn't hurt either.campgod wrote...
Forgot to say am looking at rogue/assassain/sd build or something like it.
Unfortunately, trying to adapt some of the epic 40 builds for a cap lvl 30 can be more work than starting from scratch at times. But... if you found an epic 40 version that seems similar to what you are looking for, by all means, furnish a link. It's as good starting place as any.

I miss the ECB terribly... made a request for build help in the NWN2 General Forum and just got blank stares.

AFAIK the new ECB Guild is dedicated soley for NWN 1. It does not contain any of the builds from prior times though you can access all those builds today using the ECB Search Engine on WoG though they cannot be discussed further unless reposted to the new ECB. A few already have been resurrected like that.Sokar Rostau wrote...
Am I right in assuming this rolls both of the old ECB together and it includes NWN2?

(I'll check with the admin Kail to find out if there are any plans to either include or link to a guild for NWN2 but I think that is unlikely.)

A follow-up to this issue about the scope of the new ECB in regards to its relevance to NWN2 (per KailPendragon, ECB admin)...Sokar Rostau wrote...

I hope this helps to clarify where the NWN2 ECB ended up and what is being done... for those of you interested in those character builds.NWN2 had its own separate guild of which I was (actually still am, virtually) an officer, even though I never got really into NWN2. The guild pages have been archived by TK here. Possibly the NWN2 folks developed a search engine for NWN2 builds, you should ask Mithdradates in case (assuming he can be tracked down somehow).
SInce Anuis was the founder of both guilds you could contact him (same username at the BSN forums) or Mithdradates who was/is the other NWN2 ECB officer and who pretty much handled the whole guild.

If you mean in a BSN group, it's here already. The issue is that groups suck even more than legacy guilds customization wise which can be expected since they are not real forum boards. The possibility to have a real working forum is what made me open up the place.Lowlander wrote...

There is still juice to be made out of NWN character building as a few builders have proven until the legacy guilds were up. The new forum can be a good place were to continue in the long estabilished tradition of ECB character building and where to find new fresh character ideas or to revisit old ones too.not some other place with a new login just for posting a build, especially since at this point we already have:

In as much as TK's database and search engine are a huge resource, they are not a living one. The knowledge therein contained is cristallized in time and has lost its dynamic value. The new ECB Guild forum is instead a meeting point for lively minds to discuss character builds both old and new, just like the old guild was.
All are welcome, registration is free of hassles and immediate. Anyone who wants to participate, just come over, say hi to the folks and be a part of it. The more, the merrier.

No NWN2, but it rolls together the ECB and the Pre-epic Character Builds guilds to cover the pre-epic (lvl 20) to mid-epic (lvl 30) to full-epic (lvl 40) spectrum in a systematic way. Build advice can be asked for any kind of build and level caps. And once again, the more the folks the better it is. More minds at work, the better th efinal result and the enrichment for all.Sokar Rostau wrote...
