Tell me about... I was really banking on Sheppard Commander discovering that he is a father in Mass Effect 3, if you romanced Ashley in ME 1, I go into detail on this theory in my Fanfic: Commander Sheppard's Log: 2185 Chapter 7...

I feel that the Commander doesn't really have enough personally at stake in this inter galactic conflict.If he discovered that he is the father of a two or three year old young child.That could change everything !! Now he is not just fighting for survival or doing his job or whatever...He is fighting for the future of his daughter or son...That's powerful stuff, that would really increase the tension and drama of the story

In another thread someone asked people to help them come up with questions for Emily Wong to ask Sheppard, for his or her fanfic. One of the biggest questions I can think of to ask him or her is...
" What are you fighting for? What is the motivating force behind your determination to defeat the Reapers..." Are you fighting to avenge Protheian Civilization? Are you fighting b/c you love to fight? Is it glory you seek or I don't know, but not many people would do what you are doing,This crusade... This odyssey that you are on: Where does it end? "

I find this written somewhere in my game, Im turning it off. But your theory is beated by my fanfic's. Shepard's nerveous system is broken and he is sterile. No blue babies for you!

Seriously, Shepard just can't have kids. That simple. Jackeline probably can't either.

I'm not saying Cyborg Sheppard should have gottten love interest in ME 2 pregnant. I'm talking about Pre-Cyborg Sheppard of Mass Effect 1 who was intimate with Ashley ( if you romanced her ) for over a month after 'The Battle of The Citadel: That was more than enough time for Ashley to get pregnant... Kasumi even says something about a female member of the crew of the Normandy SR 2 thinking that she might be pregnant... It seemed like that was Bioware's way off kind of hinting at what players may expierence in Mass Effect 3.

I guess not i think it would be cool to have a virtual child. A cute little bundle of joy that has no idea how dangerous the world that they have been brought into is...You could visit and play with them. It would be neat to have such an epic story and space opera to have something so relatable like child rearing within it...

There's a great qoute by Neil Postman : " Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.

Isn't the War with the Reapers, all about Procreation Vs. Exctinction... Doesn't Soveriegn talk about how its people, " Impose order on the chaos of organic existence." and how "Organic life is nothing but a genetic mutation, an accident. Your lives are measured in years and decades. You wither and die. We are eternal, the pinnacle of evolution and existence. Before us, you are nothing. Your extinction is inevitable. We are the end of everything.

What better way for Bioware to sum up what the Mass Effect Trilogy or rather Commander Shepard's Trilogy is all about than with the very symbol of hope: Childbirth... Oh and if you don't think that children signify hope, read the book or see the movie " Children of Men " and look at how people behave in a world without childbirth. Oh and let's not forget the contraversy of the genophage...
