Somebody needs to take a research and see that getting pregnant is not that simple.

And even that turned out to be crap. Why are people taking this seriously anyway? It's a damn videogame! In The Sims a pop up asks you if you want a baby! It's a videogame! If only life was like The Sims.... giggity giggity.

I don't know what country/state you are from, but in Illinois (USA) I think we had to because it was a state requirement or somethingladyvader wrote...

The only reason this topic is going on is because of the LotSB DLC. Same with the marriage thread. BioWare put it out there for some reason, we just have to wait and see what becomes of it.

I grew up in Kansas and graduated HS in 1986. Things have changed a lot since then. The change started in my school district the year after I graduated. Some Dude wrote...

That explains it, I took health 5th-7th grade and I just graduated from HS earlier this month.

Plot twist: Thane and Garrus are pregnant.
I don't even know what category that falls under.

No, she has a child, but he's bullet-riddled. She names him "Jesus".

Get it? He's "holey"?
I'll get my coat.

Also, who knows if after reviving Shepard with all the extra bits and pieces he/she is even fertile anymore.

And I needed to do unprotected sex around 20 times in Fable 3 to get 2nd child.

Sorry, that's terrible. I'm a horrible human being. Really though, this thread is ridiculous. While I'd actually be pretty impressed with BioWare if the "romance" scenes featured one of the character reaching for protection, I suppose some people might see it as a bit of a mood killer. However, just because it's not on screen doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
Further, what would be the point? Remembering to feed the fish was bad enough -- I'm in a ship that can jump across the galaxy in the space between moments, but we somehow lost the technology for automatic fish feeders? -- let's see if changing diapers and warming formula is on the itinerary:
1: Attend trial; tell the council that they can dismiss the claim that there was any option to save the batarians; shoot Khalisah al-Jilani's camera when she tries to get a post trial interview.
2: Send out an, "Hey, who said this exact thing was going to happen like three years ago? #itoldyouso" tweet when the reapers attack.
3: Cowboy/girl across the galaxy, saving lives and breaking hearts.
4: Sacrfice squadmate to learn the extra super top secret reaper weakness. Don't tell anyone, but it's the common cold. Shhhh! Unfortunetly it was wiped out in 2114.
5: Enjoy a moonslit stroll with love intrest.
6: Give rousing speech.
7: Save the galaxy. Stop the reapers once and for all.
8. Celebrate with punch and pie.
Sorry...cleaning spit-up and properly socializing a child simply isn't on the agenda. Maybe when BioWare decides to release 'Mass Effect: Home Maker'. I hear you can interview krogan nannies in that one.

I hope the OP is a teenager otherwise the fact that I have to explain this is hilarious.
But even if Shepard had unprotected sex that doesn't mean someone automatically gets pregnant. The risk of someone getting pregnant is much higher than with unprotected sex obviously, but we aren't talking 100%. Not even close. And a lot of it also depends on the woman's cycle and whether or not she is ovulating.
That, and not to be crass but maybe Shep pulled out or *ahem* finished elsewhere besides inside her vagina? That wouldn't be a full proof pregnancy prevention method, but it is a lower risk than if he did.
People have unprotected sex all the time and don't make babies. And then others get pregnant. It is a roll of the dice, but unprotected sex does not always end in pregnancy.
And Miranda is infertile. For all we know Shep could be sterile as well.
