Even though DA2 wasn't as good as its predecessor, I can say that two things made playing through the game easier:
1. Merrill.
2. Varric.
These two are some of BioWare's most awesome characters so far. Pity everyone else were more forgettable.
Best things about DA2.

The good things about DA2:
1)The Arishok
2) Varric And Isabella and Merril
3) Cussing. (silly thing to say, I know, but I found it refreshingly raw, and made the banter/dialogue seem more realistic, compared to Origin's, which was strangely, and rigidly formal and contained zero cussing)
And that's about it

Varric made the game for me, I love his random tid-bits.
And Isabella's "I like big boats, i cannot lie." Made me forgive her.

For me, it was:
1. The Arishok
2. The Black Emporium
3. Varric
4. Fenris (I love death glares)
5. Having people I helped, help me in the final fight.
6. Bethany
7. The swearing (It's good to know it's okay to say bad words in a game)

While sometimes over the top, I much preferred the combat. Felt as if it was more responsive and it was satisfying.

Voice acting was good at times.

I would definitely say the Qunari storyline was the best part of the game for me.
I liked Aveline most of the companions, though I know some will think I'm crazy for it.
I liked Varric except for one particular thing: He never came across as particularly dwarven to me. He could just have easily have been human.
Oh, the music was good, though there wasn't enough of it.
As for profanity: I always liked hearing the dwarven profanity because it was unique to the world.
I liked that the family's appearance changed to be similar to the pc.
Merril's accent.

Combat, but not camera. (Or lack of.)
This thread is already interesting because it is bringing up things I thought "the general consensus hated" like Merrill. (I loved her to bits.)

Merrill's a love or hate character definitely. I found her stupidity and naivety infuriating, but that's just me.

I despised Merrill. Her, Fenris and Anders were irritating past belief, IMO.
Nothing in DA2 was better than it was in DA:O. Most thing were poor in comparison. A few things very poor. Varric was cool, as was Isabela, depite certain silly attributes of hers.

^ This, the uninstall was the Awesome-button.
In all seriousness however.. Varric, the only good thing in DA2.
I did not like cussing, it just did not feel/sound natural. And I can like the use of swear-words a lot in fiction, given that they fit the characters and situations, but most of the time, they just don't work, Transmetropolitan was the comic where swearing really made sense and fitted the characters, and was there a lot of it, I think that I have to, one day, make some statistics of how many times the word f*ck was used per page in that comic.

I don't get the "uninstall" thing. Are you guys struggling for HDD space? Or is it because the game's presence is an insult. I'm genuinely interested. (PS. I have a whole bunch of games that I haven't played more than 15 minutes worth of languishing on my HDD. I don't really see the point of uninstalling them. If, by some chance, I did want to go back and play them, I don't want to be bothered going through all of that again.)
Also, this thread could be more interesting if people answered on topic. It's be interesting to know what people thought was the best feature, especially if they didn't like the game.

Can we get some actual good things besides the uninstall feature?
Don't get me wrong, I uninstalled it too, but I highly doubt this is why XX55XX made this thread. I believe he's referring to good things in the game.
The negative bandwagon effect is usually how threads end up closed.
I think Bioware would listen more to what we did like(even if we didn't enjoy the game), than "uninstall, uninstall, uninstall". Can't expect them to make a good game with things we like, if we don't tell them what things we liked

1: The hilarious end cutscene of the serial killer quest.
2: Anders. Because he's the real protagonist of Dragon Age 2.
3: Oh look, we finally made a stable engine free from memory leaks and slowdowns. Too bad we put it to use in a game like Dragon Age 2.
4: The Arishok.
