nope sorry. I don't even have any idea what/who that smudboy is.
But who I am is not your business. Not that I care what you think of me.

Guess you are not an Mass Effect fan then or you don't post in theMass Effect  forums.  And I never talked about who YOU  are.  You are trying to make this personal.

Lolz, just read this entire thread and the ammount of negatives is insane. The thread is clearly titled 'Best' things, so I thought I would comment and hopefully get the posts back on topic..
1) the combat, 2) certain companions, 3) companion quests, 4) the events of act 2, 5) the conversation wheel. 6) the new talent tree..

However I am fully aware that it is all down to personal preference, and I do agree that Origins is better, but as I play on the console.. DA2 was more 'fun' in a combat sense, the story-line was abit meh but I did like the game, and will definatly play it again

I don't know about that. Seems to me like they have every intention of letting Hawke hang around for a long time.

This is my big problem with calling the game Dragon Age 2. Should have been called Dragon Age: Kirkwall or whatever. So yes it's part of the core DA universe without being a "sequal" to DA:O+A since it barely has anything to with it except for cameos that feel forced and faked.

Then DA: Thingamajig can come next and maybe that takes place 100 years before. Or maybe the make DA: Archery goodness as an TPS like ME and takes place in Nevara without making you hate DA. You can set stories in Thedas without anyone feeling like their core story has been basterdized by some incompetent messenger boy (Hawke*).

*Hawke's not that bad, just not as good as expected, much like DA2 I mean Dragon Age: Kirkwall.

I swear, if I see the Sheriff of Rottingham Hawke's stupid face on anything to do with DA3 I'm gonna be pissed off. Hawke's an idiot, he just needs to be left dead and buried.

We get it you have a seething irrational hatred of Hawke.  Now  take to another thread..

Good:
Isabella - intrigueing. Love/hate character. Infuriating at times but well written and lovable.
Merril - hilarious. Adorable.
Varric - awesome in every way
Arishok - diverse, intrigueing, hard to read, awesome and well written
Combat - fun
Attempt at giving the Elves a little bit of difference from humans
Some beautiful areas
A good story
Insight into more of a world that I love
Visuals - in many cases an improvement
No memory leak
Banter
Armour design - some is really nice
Not being able to tell your friends  exactly what they have to wear. Added sense.

Bad:
Fenris, shallow emo
Changed designs for things and people that were fine
Elves becoming more irritating and wearing playdough ( yeah ... they tried at least )
Too much focus on romance
Sexuality raffle

The best thing(s) about DA2 for me was...
  • The Champion armor - I just like how awesome it looks! It feels special that it is just for my Hawke.
  • Banters - Even though actual interactions in their home base was limited, but the banters gave plenty of room for the characters to grow. And really loved hearing each and every one of them. Just love how the number of it multiplied from Origins!
  • New elves and Qunari concept - I know some people are like ...eh, but to me they really did look too much human. I thought they should feel similar to the conventional idea of elves and the physiology of Qunari should be unique. I liked Sten believe me, but he just looked like a giant human. Not only do I love the new physical change, but some personality in their clothing and weapons befitting their unique cultures.
  • Weapons - I love how the daggers look really sharp and the staves look life-threatening. While they need some variations and limit to how some of the designs stay within a certain culture, I love the look of them. Like I swear I saw bunch of Sten's Asala on templars and I just like.... *popped a vein*
  • And no more "You the 'PC' is the chosen one who will lead the world away from an ancient evil!" It was just about your family or just about your self. I liked how there was no ancient prophesy or something looming just over yonder. It was refreshing. It had potential, buuuuuuuut it didn't come through... So... *sad sigh*

+ Leliana's cameo.

It was the best thing because it was the only good thing in the game.

- Leliana's cameo.

It was terrible because it means she is a zombie and necromancy is forbidden by the Chantry after all.

It is irrational but regardless it doesn't belong in this thread

This thread makes me sad, I enjoyed the game, decent graphics, interesting and dynamic story line, individual character plots and diversity. Honestly I liked DA:O but it seemed a bit slow at times. I feel I might have enjoyed more chance encounters, hidden bosses, and ambushes. But other then that I felt it was a very solid game and I'm excited for the third one.

I like the way Draenei, I mean, Qunari look. Even though they are all identical and Bioware/EA apparently can't release female versions of them for some unknown and quite possibly lame reason.

Hmm.

I'll just say my favorite five things in Dragon Age II. (In Order)

1.) The Fast-Paced Combat.
2.) Change in Art Style and Graphics.
3.) Story
4.) Varric
5.) Legacy

Story and lore reasons actually. Female Qunari aren't fighters, so it wouldn't have made sense for them to be with the Arishok. Rather, they're administrators and better suited to being management type people. They are among the Tamassrans, the educators of the Qunari people.

Putting that aside, it was said a few weeks ago that we would be seeing female Kossith in the future.

I think DA2 had great skill trees, but that's it. Nothing else about the game was positive.

For me it was the The Fast-Paced Combat, having a Voiced character. the Dialog wheel, the new look for the elves, and having class based weapons and armor.

They could have squeaked in a female Tal-Vashoth / kossith mercenary or two... or a whole band of them... :innocent:

Oh, and, best thing: Varric.

That would've worked if all of the Tal-Vashoth you met in the game weren't former Qunari that were with the Arishok. There weren't any Kossith around Kirkwall prior to the Arishok's crash landing. Though they could've just added in another band of wandering Tal-Vashoth.

I suspect that will be their method of showing the female Kossith in the future. A Tal-Vashoth warrior who wants to prove to the Qunari and herself that women can indeed fight.

Though if they do that, I'll be unsure of who I want as a companion and LI more for the future of the series: her or Maraas.

I have been told by very reliable sources that they did have women on the ship, the other qunari simply ate them because they were non-essential.
