So I recently got a rather long HDMI cable and figured I'd try running some of my PC games on my laptop on my hdtv instead. Now, ME runs absolutely fine on my laptop, but when I try and put it on a dual monitor display, with my TV as my primary monitor, I just get a blank screen. Is it impossible to run ME1 as a dual monitor game due to its age?

It is, as tats how I used to play it until my secondary monitor blew out and forced me to revert to a single monitor setup. Try setting it for windowed mode, instead of full screen, thath may fix the problem.

Is there any way to get a "fullscreen windowed" mode, kind of like how WoW does it? I know ME1 is an old game, so it may not have that.

Set for windowed mode, you should be able to enter in the native resolution of your TV and it shold work from there. Failing that, you could try dragging the corners to maximise the display.

You can do Borderless windowed mode I know, I just can't remember if you get it in game in options or only in the Config utility. I tried it while fighting with drivers and lag a while back so I know it can be done.
