Cerberus still learned things from their failed experiments, like that Rachni are intelligent, how to make biotics stronger, etc. There does seem to be an alarming tendency for their projects to get most of their employees killed, but that's a total disregard for scientific procedure for you. They want things done quickly regardless of how it's done, disasters are going to happen - TIM doesn't seem to care so long as he gets some sort of result he can use.

He's definitely a bad employer though.  I know I wouldn't want to work for someone who'd be happy to let me get killed on the job.

The Illusive Man is the WORST protector of humanity. don't know about project leader. I believe the Illusive Man is the worst at protecting humanity. He would sacrifice a billion human lives to make humanity the most powerful species in the universe.

Me/My Shepard - I'm a soldier of the galaxy - not a taker of innocent lives. But I do take the lives of those who deserve it (Fist, Elnora, Mercenaries, Donovan Hock, and other ruthless and sadistic characters).

About the Collector Base - The Illusive sure did care about losing what could have been another prize in his organization (Shepard - the first, CB - the second). But doesn't give a **** about the 350 million colonists that were killed! He disgusts me.

The Lazarus Project was intended to bring a human being back to life, which it did. Wilson mentions that the project was the greatest scientific breakthrough in history and he's absolutely correct. The Mass Relays weren't created, they were just stumbled upon. The Lazarus Project, however, was entirely human made. Furthermore, that resurrected human went on to save millions of human lives by stopping the Collectors (and soon the Reapers).

Also, that powerful biotic girl who escaped... she helped.

On the contrary, he spent billions of credits to bring Shepard back so that he could stop the Collector attacks and succeded while the Alliance and the Council sat around doing nothing. TIM has  done more for those colonies than anyone and only wanted the base so he  could continue helping humanity. Humanity is fortunate to have a leader who doesn't let morals get in the way of saving lives, unlike that selfish and self-righteous Shepard fellow.
