that's actually what I hoped the "scar Remover" would have done in Mass Effect 2 - allow me to tweek my Shepard's face.

All in all, I think an in'game option would be great! There is just no way for a Character creator to account for all angles, facial expressions, and lighting you'll find in the game.

I definitely like being able to alter my character after the initial screen, although I would be happy with being able to get a haircut at least. I must admit I find it a little immersion breaking however, even though I used the mirror in DA2 a fair bit (usually as a way of showing my Hawke aging/changing between time jumps). Plus I still feel the need to make the face perfect before starting the game proper even with the knowledge of a mirror being in the game.

Still, on the whole I support this. Afterall it can be put into the game subtely and in such a way that if a player should wish to avoid it for immersion reasons they could.

I would enjoy something like this immensely. Frankly I would hope that any face generator come with the ability to see your character's head with 360 degree view. I would also appreciate additions of viewing various facial animations so we can adjust features accordingly.

By the way, viewing the various facial animations would be static so you could turn on smile, look at it from side to side, turn it off, turn on frown, look at that from side to side, adjust lighting and shadow in conjunction with face animations, and so on until you're satisfied. I would also like a return of the presets as they were in ME. The transition from ME to ME2 is dramatic for some faces that you instantly tell that there's something wrong with it.

If we're supposed to play a cinematic for hours and be given a face generator, we should have adequate tools to make our characters look the way we want or as close to it as possible. APB does a better job at this though their complexions need help (at least the free version does).

Edit: Also wanted to point out that there doesn't need to be an in-game explanation for this.  For all intents and purposes whatever your Shepard's face is after using this feature is the face that's been present from the beginning of the start of the series.

This should be pretty easy to implement from the programming point of view and very handy for many players considering the amount of dialogues in the series. But it (as well as the character creator) needs some improvements first: the possibility to rotate camera freely around character's head for better view as well as a more neutral lighting.

Also it is worth to mention that the ability to change Shepard's appearance on import to ME3 is confirmed by the devs, which is a very similar feature.

I wouldn't even change my FemShep's face 100% it's just cheekbones and lips that I always had issues with. Otherwise she's nearly perfect.

I'm not worried about immersion, it's a game and I know it's silly but I want my character to look good. No mods etc as I'm an xbox player.

Or if they could jusr do a 360 turn then that'd be fine.

You...are totally...right. The lips are another issue. Some look like a horses mouth. Come on...And a 360 turn around sounds like a great idea.

But -way- too limited as the only possible options for this proposed tool.

I'm all for this idea, as long as it comes with a combo Scar Remover. I like my Renegon Shep looking clean face and all.

Yeah, but a great 'at the very least' thing to let us play with.

Eh, i'd just be grateful to get that, if nothing else. If they had an issue with the immersion, but if DA2 can have it i dont see why this cant

Yeah odd that the advanced medbay didn't let you do that in the first place.

+1 internets to OP =)

I sure would like such a feature. I'm in the camp that has found no matter how much effort I put into a face there is always something off whenever I see it in a cut seen. Even if it was a DLC I'd be willing to pay.

Yup. I actually thought the scar removal upgrade in ME2 was going to allow this and was extremely disappointed when it didn't.

Why would you expect a scar removal upgrade to allow you to change your face?

I mean, where is the logic?

First, don't be an asshole. Second, it's called "Med-Bay Upgrade (Dermal Regeneration)." That totally sounds like it can fux0r with my face.

Actually, I would agree with this because I almost always find something that didn't turn out the way that I had intended in the character creator. I REALLY hate having to start the game over again just because my femShep's lips ended up looking too big/wide, etc. It should be easy enough to plop some cosmetic surgery robot in the medical bay or have Chakwas do something useful - like actually performing surgery (how novel that would be).

I would be grateful if this was implemented. On numerous occasions, I've noticed something "off" about one of my characters but didn't want to start the game over again just to fix it. Some kind of device located in Shepard's room or the medibay would be incredibly convenient.

Please, Bioware, consider implementing this feature.

I would be grateful to have such a feature.

I can just imagine a dirty chair in a dark corner of the Normandy's medical lab with a ton of painful looking cosmetic equipment hanging over it.

I actually tweeted Casey about this a while back (though I'm sure I'm not the only one who has about this specifically), so if he got the chance to read it, hopefully it's something they're taking into consideration.

I would gladly pay extra for this, especially if there's something about my Shep that doesn't translate right into ME3 (I had to rebuild her whole face in ME2 because that was the difference of her look between the first two games), and indentity codes are such a drag. Especially in the instances I've experienced, that you can only get the right one off of an ME1 import. Whenever I try to import any ME2 character for a new game, it always gives me the default code.
