Yes. Especially if Bioware decides to keep up with this trend of unskippable intro cutscenes.

This is a very good Idea. An even better Idea would it be to make the camera and lightning during character creation just better. Illuminate the face better and make the cam-angle free adjustable instead of that "look left", "look right", etc.
That would be awesome great!

On a side note: Lately I read the word awesome way to often.

I sure would like such a feature. I'm in the camp that has found no matter how much effort I put into a face there is always something off whenever I see it in a cut seen. Even if it was a DLC I'd be willing to pay.

This. I do not have the luxury of spending hours just to do a freaking Character Creation screen. My time spent on gaming is limited as it is.

Plastic surgery isn't science fiction.

@Upsettingshorts I can't see a logical way of doing this.

A wizard did it, if you don't want to use it because you think it is immersion breaking then simply don't use it.

Do you mean in-character?  Why does it need to be?

What's the in-game logic behind difficulty levels?  What magic force suddenly makes that Blue Suns merc harder or easier to kill?

It would be nice if there were a way to see our Shepards in-game without having to watch cutscenes, because they don't look the same in the CC and in-game. I removed all cutscenes that can be removed at the beginning of ME2 just so I wouldn't have to wait so much, but I still have to do the part where you go for Joker.

They could force us to watch cutscenes when we launch the game for the first time, and from then on they could allow us to go directly to the CC.

I'm not bashing the idea, I do agree with that, but I will only "buy" it if there's a logical way of it. I'm not sure I want a plastic surgery, but if BW does it right, then what the heck not.

Count me in. My main Shepard is supposed to have cheekbones slightly wider than average humans' as well as wide chin. Ingame view may be painful when trying to reflect that.
And don't forget hair and skin colour looking different in game. And femShep's makeup (or lack thereof).

I very much want this feature in ME3, and I'd also be willing to pay for it as DLC for ME1 and ME2.

today people can change their haircut, their makeup, get a tattoo, change their nose, look younger, etc, etc...
200 hundreds years from now i'm pretty sure much more than that would be possible. what is it that can't see ?

Definitely yes. Beyond practicality, I have two gigantic problems with the character generator that would necessitate changing a face after the fact: The 'angles' you get to look at are totally insufficient and the lighting is terrible.

It doesn't have to be explained in-game. I can reasonably assume that the final alterations by anyone's Shepard is what they would have used had they been able to make it right in the first game. There's no need to wring hands over the issue of how it'll fit in the story.

In ME2 Shepard's put back together exactly as they were. Ironic considering how Shepard's face depending on options chosen changed from ME to ME2. In any case, what's said in ME2 is key. Shepard was brought back exactly as they were. Everyone else concocted a reason as to why Shepard's face changed if you made alterations when the only thing that possibly could have been altered is the scar on his/her face. Everything else is the same.

No thanks!

Only because I would use it through out the entire game. I´d rather have the face gen at the beginning of the game like in ME1, in a way it wouldn´t require restart everytime I use it.

Are the "I wouldn't be able to stop myself from using it" arguments supposed to be convincing?

To me they just read like, "So it'd be so useful you'd overuse it? Sounds like a good idea to me then."

I don't think there should be any plastic surgery device or anything. You should just be able to pop into the face generator on the fly and change things.

That'd be ideal for me as well.  If they felt the need to give it an ingame justification, then I imagine "Dr. Chakaws' Plastic Surgery Device" would do the trick.  I personally do not think its' necessary but some do.
