So how far are you willing to go to save earth? What races to you are expendable to send in as cannon...well reaper fodder to buy earth a bit more time? And what races do you place as a priority? and if you had to choose between earth and the other races which would you choose?

For me im pretty much cool with sacrificing every race in the galexy to save earth... well except for humans of course. But I will be sacrificing the Asari last if it needs to be done, Batarians I will send in to their death even if unecessary lol. Turians are a low priority seeing as General Septimus and Garrus are the only decent ones. Geth are a high priority for me though.

So only really care about Humans, Asari and Geth... All but humans are expendable for me though.

What about you? What value do you place on each of the races and which do you want to save over the others?

Inb4 batarians.

Also, quarians are extremely expendable. Worst species ever.

EDIT: Seriously, I'd save everyone but the quarians. Quarians are the only species in the entire galaxy who isn't doing something useful.

Yeah, their only awesome achivement being creating the geth, they pretty much fail in everything else they do though lol

*SPOILERS*

Also I think I heard that the batarians are already wiped out at the start of mass effect 3, since their systems are between where they entered the galaxy and the sol system.. Would explain all the batarian husks in the first attack wave

The Volus. I cringe whenever I have to talk to one.

I think sacrificing fellow races would be self-defeating. The Reapers wiping them out on their own is one thing. However, I will not purposefully send an entire race to its death unless I know (for a fact) it will save the rest. I firmly believe we need the other races alive and well to defeat the Reapers. I prioritize keeping the races alive.

Judging from game play footage, it may already be too late for the Batarians. Bummer.

None. No race in the game deserves to die out.

The quarians are worthless? They also sent a fleet with supplies and foodstuffs for the turians who had been devastated when everyone else gave lip service. They are not my favourite race in the game, but they've played their part.

The volus created, and help maintain, the vast galactic monetary system.

I'm not a fan of the word "expendable". Sacrifice, to me, is entirely dependent on the circumstances. And even then, I prefer to look at it as the last possible solution.

Krogans. Turians. At all costs. Even if I have to slaughter humans myself in my Paragon file

Reapers and Cerberus.

Cerberus are their own species.

With the Batarians out of the way, I don't have to worry about them (they deserve some type of Batarian genophage since they are so awful) so probably ... elcor. I sat through Fracis Kitt's production of Hamlet with an all elcor cast, and that was without a doubt the worst 14 hours of my life.

I vote for the asari. Kick them off their high horse.

Not to mention that they and the Reapers are reproducing in similar ways, so I'm sure they'll be great friends.

I'd happily get rid of the asari.

I don't usually invest myself in a galactic politics topic, but I wouldn't be willing to sacrifice any race, if I were the one to make the call. I don't know that any race will be able to avoid making sacrifices, but how many sentient races have been named? How many do we have to throw at the void, exactly, before we are alone? How do we know a species has contributed all it can to galactic society, to the point where we can call each individual among them to be worthy only as a sacrifice for the survival of the rest?

If life is precious and on a grand scale rare, which it is, sentience is even more so, and is one of the few things I'd consider sacred. No situation should force self-aware peoples with any claim to rationality, to any higher principle than survival by brute force, to solve a problem by destroying one another.

No one is expendable, and i would dread to even think that way. How can you?

Seriously, some people here speak so casually about genocide or even second hand genocide it does more than just raises my eyebrow. Even if it is just imagination, i wouldnt joke about or speak so casually about genocide of an entire species. We are talking about exterminating an entire species of sapient beings here, this is unlike anything real life humans have yet experienced, save for the neanderthals(and even they died out on their own, they werent killed off).

It's easy to joke about something horrible you have never experienced first hand. If you did, your mind would change so fast.

The Quarians are being seriously underestimated in their usefulness.
Extremely tech savvy.
Are a society of MacGyvers.
Have probably amassed a large amount of tech and knowledge through their pilgrimage program.
Probably are experts in disease control.

The Quarians made a huge mistake with the Geth but they are more self sufficient and likely to survive bad times than many other races.

****** Failus?

All life deserve to live and flourish but not at a too high expense of others. Reapers (and Failberus) are a threat to the very existense of all other life and therefore they must be removed.

Edit: To kill off an entire spiecies (or just allow it to die) just because some of them are rude, violent and have a lack of female eye candy for the boys seems extremely short sighted and selfish to me, even if it's just a game.

I'd gladly sacrifice the entire Batarian species in ME3. Makes sure they won't be starting a war with Humanity. And not just Human colonies but all colonies will finally be safe from slaver attacks.

I agree, I always wonder what's up with all the Quarian hate. Sure they did make a huge mistake with the Geth, even though it was unforeseen the Geth would 'wake up' on their own. I'd blame them for trying to destroy the Geth since the Geth did nothing to the Quarians at first. Though with all that's happened in the last 300 years (lost their planet, lost their colonies, lost most of their people, lost what was left of their immune system and so on) I think the Quarians have suffered enough. More so since the quarians who live now are not responsible for what happened 300 years ago.

Not to mention they're useful with their tech expertise. Perhaps in the future, working with the Salarians they could actually strenghten their immune systems as well.

No one is actually expendable. But I wouldn't mind if Batarians and Vorcha would die and Reapers of course can die too.

Also everything and everyone belonging to Cerberus can die.

None of the races are expendable, though if anyone was going to get hit by the Reapers first, I'm glad it was the Batarians (pity for all their slaves though).

Hanar (and I guess Drell by proxy), Volus and Elcor. Any race incapable of even attempting to defend themselves deserves to go imo...plus...I gotta say, I'm kinda hoping for a Volus Reaper.
