Actually, in ME2 there's plenty of comments on piles of stillborn babies, especially on Mordin's LM.

Okay, so what exactly was stopping the Geth from completing their "genocide," hmm?  Nothing that I can see.  It seems more like they simply let the Quarians go.  The Geth could have easily hunted them all down and destroyed them in the 300 years since the initial war.  Given that the Quarians still haven't given up wanting to destroy the Geth, it seems quite likely that they kept fighting until they had no choice but to flee.  The Geth, realizing that the Migrant Fleet was not a threat, let them go.  If it was genocide they were after, they would not have done that.

As I've said, it was because genocide wasn't their objective, it was the method they used to achive that objective, namely defeating the quarians in the Morning War. But it deosn't make any difference. If you wipe out a group of people because you specfically want them dead, or if you wipe them out because you wanted their land for yourself the moral differences between the 2 are farily trivial.

But the Geth were not wiping them out because of land.  The Geth have little use for land, they need it for resources electricity/energy, but don't need space as they can house billions of Geth in a small area.  They were fighting them for survival.  They perceived the Quarians as a constant threat, in terms of if they are around they will try to take the Geth offline, at least that was likely their initial thought process with their limited understanding of organics.  Even Legion states that the Geth are still trying to figure out organics, as their motivations are foreign to them, and will always be since Geth don't have "personal" goals, reproduction, governance as we know it.

Pretty safe to say (considering the Reapers are using Batarian husks at the START of ME3) that the Batarians are toast, or close to toast (good). Quarian is the only other race I want gone. They remind me of gypsies who are absolutely meaningless. I would gladly sacrifice them to save another race.

I wonder if there are any Talimancers, willing to sacrifice the quarian race. Because, you know, you mustn't love your GF's mommy, just because they're relatives. Right?

I love how nonchalant people are with exterminating an entire sentient race.

Actually, I wonder about this. ME2 seemed to indicated that there's a lot of mysterious dark energy at work in the galaxy, and it's even making stars age at an accelerated rate. At first I wondered if it was a secret weapon of the Reapers, but now I wonder if maintaining the dark energy balance is the Reapers' reason for being. I can see a huge moral conundrum for Bioware to throw us where we have to decide on what's best for the short term success of current races or what's best for the ecology of the galaxy in the long run.

Or Shepard could just infect the Reaper fleet with a super virus form an iPad 2 that forces them to lower their shields or something.

I am afraid that when they speak about exterminating life, they speak seriously.

I see someone can't take anything seriously.

They're called "Role Playing" games for a reason. Shouldn't you be running around with a Famas & Grenade Launcher attachment on Nuketown?

The whole idea that that there supposedly are "expendable" species at all makes me think that humanity should be at the top of that list if there was one (which there isn't).

Although the Pimphat is pimpin, Elcor dialogue is just too slow.  They don't deserve to live.

Out of the council races, the Salarians (The reason I picked the salarians is because I think deplomecy and Military Power matter more then technolagy). Out of everyone i'd say Vorcha and Elcor. (Never picked the volus because they have a big impact on the galactic economy and will be a great race to have fix the galactic economy once the war is over with)

snip...but I wouldn't be willing to sacrifice any race, if I were the one to make the call. I don't know that any race will be able to avoid making sacrifices, but how many sentient races have been named? How many do we have to throw at the void, exactly, before we are alone? How do we know a species has contributed all it can to galactic society, to the point where we can call each individual among them to be worthy only as a sacrifice for the survival of the rest?

If life is precious and on a grand scale rare, which it is, sentience is even more so, and is one of the few things I'd consider sacred. No situation should force self-aware peoples with any claim to rationality, to any higher principle than survival by brute force, to solve a problem by destroying one another.

This just sums it quite nicely

Wohoho, military and diplomacy over technology?
Technology is not just a cell phone, is the extent of our hands and feet, we are nothing without technology.
Excuse me but I prefer to have scientist (people who actually know how to solve a problem) than politicians (who actually are faces because the are not instructed in nothing) and military (brainwashed people with zero free will)

The only races I could care less about is the Volus, Elcor, & Vorcha. The Batarians are obviously all dead already or for the most part of them has been wiped out considering there are already batarian husks.

Even in a role playing video game, the politically correct libtards come out to voice their unimportant, internal terroristic, opinions. It's a game, get over it.

If it comes between saving the Earth, or saving the Migrant Fleet, 9.9999/10 will choose to save Earth. Let me guess.....you ding dongs think they MUST be racists IRL, right? Sigh.....sadly these people will someday have children.

I love it when US-dwellers bring their political name-calling into international discussions like it should mean anything to anyone who's head isn't bigger than their gut.

Definitely sacrificing the Vorcha, complete nuisance.

Geth win second priority since they're robots, unless they're useful further down the line. Just back up as many of their programs + personalities as possible and rebuild them later.

After that, Elcors, if only because they move too slowly and may be too risky to save. Sides, they're big, strong and tough, should hold the line for a while.
