im content with the current squadmates but i hope they would add a krogan

mainly garrus and liara, they were my team in ME 1 and I was really happy with them.

Squaddies
Ashley/Kaidan - LI and I'd like to see where the relationship goes.
Tali - LI and has been there since beginning
Garrus - LI and has been there since beginning
Liara - LI and has been there since beginning
Miranda - LI and she might be helpful taking down Cerberus
Jack - LI it's fun to be around my sweet little sociopath.
Grunt - He's my boy.
Legion - Interesting character, for a machine. If he's not a squaddie he should be on the Normandy as a go-between with the geth.
Thane - LI and we might be able to save him. Though him going out in a blaze of glory while protecting Shep and squad would be fitting.
Vega - I guess we're stuck with the new guy???

Cameos/Non-Squaddie Shipmates
Wrex - He's busy turning the Krogan into a respectable species. Cameo
Mordin - I'd like him on the ship in the science lab.
Kasumi - She wasn't very useful. Cameo
Zaaed - He was hired to fight. Cameo
Samara - She fulfilled her oath. Cameo
Jacob - Bored me. Might start sending him through the tube just to make sure he doesn't survive. Cameo or not at all.

I'm fine with Tali, Garrus and Liara. I wouldn't mind having Grunt on the team too.

I found Liara to be most useful in ME1 then Miranda in ME2 and together in LotSB they worked pretty well so Liara and Miranda would be my ideal team.

Depends on class. My Vanguard would surely work well with Sentinels, but Sentinel with Sentinels is a bit over the top.

So:

Soldier Shepards: one crowd control and one Sentinel. Likely Miranda/Jack for Ashley and Kaidan/Jack for Mark.

Vanguard Shepard: Sentinels (to finish everyone who survived Shepard fast)

Infiltrator Shepards: someone who can damage shields... plus someone else. Jack/Garrus for Max, Zaeed (huh, a girl can dream) / Miranda for Ingrid.

Engineer Shepard: tank and damage dealer? Grunt (Vega?)/Samara (Kasumi? Garrus? Thane?)

Adept Shepard: someone with Warp and damage dealer. Likely Kaidan (Miranda?)/Zaeed (Garrus? Thane? Samara?)

Sentinel Shepard: crowd controller and damage dealer. Jack/Samara (Garrus? Thane?)

Speaking about personal tastes, I'd say Kaidan, Miranda, Kasumi, Jack, Zaeed and Samara (this not counting Legion, Wrex and Mordin which aren't likely return). I don't put much hope in DLC characters, though... and Samara would likely be left out to not interfere with Liara... so team human biotics for me. Jacob may join if he wish

I want Garrus and Tali to make a return, they're my favorite squadmates. But seriously if I all of them can make a return it would be awesome.

Tali & Garrus. Wrex trumped Garrus in ME1, but now it'd be a tough call to choose which I like more. The rest, I'll be happy to see, but the T&G aren't leaving my squad unless there's a spot taken (And luckily, Wrex will be one of those temporary allies! WOOT!)

Bioware has said that we are going to have a much smaller squad this time around. So i'll pick six squadmates.

Liara - Mostly because she is a very powerful biotic and intresting character in my opinion.

Wrex - Because, well wrex is just kick ass.

Kasumi - Pretty cool and funny character. And because she is pretty good in combat

Tali - Awesome character backstory. And because Quarians are kickass

Mordin - Very funny.

Garrus - He is awesome, that is all.

and if I could I would fit in Grunt.
