I want a "lock on" button.
Especially if enemies are in a group and keep moving it's hard to aim a power at a single person so often your warp, throw or pull hits the still shielded enemy while the one you tried to hit just keeps on dallying around.
Another situation where that can happen is when an enemy is in cover and you want to hit him with an ability but you can't aim high enough because at the height you need, he isn't "locked" anymore.
Or if stuff like a canister or even another enemy keeps distracting your aim but you actually want to aim at the enemy behind/left of/right of it or him but you have to shoot the power in an angle because a direct shot wouldn't hit.
So make a button that let's your aim keep locked on to an enemy for a duration of time, until the enemy dies or you skip it.
I'm open for discussion on that point, I think a skip button would be the best solution or you have to press the button while you want to keep him in the aimlock.
That would make playing on pc (and i bet consoles but I can't really comment on that) a lot less frustrating since the settings for mouse sensitivity aren't that scalable as they could and should be on pc, but that's another thing and a better scalable mouse sensitivity wouldn't make my demand for a lock button obsolete, just less often required.
I don't want that you can draw circles with your powers, the name of the enemy could get grayed out as soon as he is out of the radius of the power or something similar, but I get the feeling that in 90% of the cases where I wish for that option, it's not the fault of my craving for absolute power, but distraction of some kind like elaborated above.
I didn't find a thread with this topic (kind of did, but it seemed to me that the guy was talking about something else) and since I can't read all of the threads on this forum in their entirety I don't know if this has ever been mentioned. So forgive me if this claim was already dismissed or something similar.

We actually experimented with a target lock system early on for ME1; unfortunately, it didn't play very well, with a lot of issues where it would remain locked when you didn't want it to, and so forth, resulting in it feeling like it was fighting the player's controls. I would be suprised if we re-added a similar system back in for ME3 - some changes to autoaim thresholds might be possible, but I wouldn't expect much beyond that.
