After finishing Nature of the Beast, my party ran into the random encounter with the 4-5 sylvans.  At the start of the battle, they all used root and knocked out Wynne.  After 30 seconds to a minute, she got back up and cast Vessel of the Spirit, while the battle was still going on and no one used revive on her.  I looked at the spell's description and looked it up online and saw no mention of some "auto-revive" effect.

Has anyone else seen this happen?  Wynne had nothing but rock armor and arcane shield up.  I was just surprised to see her "come back to life" in the middle of a battle, with no injury.  It was as if her spirit was looking after her once again.  I do have a line in her tactics for her to use Vessel of the Spirit when her mana is below 10%, but wouldn't she need to be "alive" for it to activate?

Wynne also had Anerin's Token equipped.

Yes. It happened to me yesterday. I was as surprised as you are and failed to find any explanation.

Well, she DID tell you that death would not stop her from aiding you against the blight... ^_^

This has happened to me numerous times, even when she didn't have any tactics regarding Vessel of the Spirit. As far as I know, it's very random and cannot be controlled
( there might be some prereq for it to trigger?); but when you run around alone on the top of Fort Drakon and your entire party is dead, having your healer revive herself is just a real lifesaver...

I think of it as a nice way to implement Wynne's plot into gameplay; a spirit of faith is a powerful ally indeed! ;)

I'm not sure if Vessel of the Spirit had anything to do with it: that happened to be the first thing she did once "coming back to life" (it's in her tactics), and I had no other guess as to how it happened.

Yes, if her spirit friend was the reason, it would certainly play into her character and her situation.

Either this is a bug, or Wynne is immortal.

She did this to me, too. She charged ahead of the party to mana clash the genlock necromancer in Ft Drakon. It didn't kill him outright and she pulled all his aggro; rest of the party was fighting shades and boom, mage falls down. Then, as we're charging the genlock - mage gets up. Definitely caught my eye.

Yes, it's happened to me.

Also, there is that deserted camp in the forest with the greater shade or demon or whatever--the one that makes you all fall asleep? If Wynne is in the party, she Vessels it up there too. :)

Mind you, I don't use tactics at all. I micromanage everything, so it's definitely not the tactics that did it.

If I recall correctly give her all her gifts and talk to her in camp after the first time she falls down and keep talking to her from time to time. Then you will learn that she indeed has some sort of auto-revive due to the benevolent spirit that is inside her. Not sure if it is Vessel of the Spirit.

Yes, the spirit revived her back in the circle tower, though it was unexpected to actually see this happen in-game. After countless playthroughs over the past year, this was the first time I saw it happen.
