I think the melee button should be the right thumb stick, that way you don't have to take your thumb off of being able to look around to hit B.

That way they could use B or top two buttons for grenades instead of the back button from Me1

Of course button reconfiguration would work...

I've never had a problem with switching from the stick to the B button personally but the config you have suggested would work well.

i want complete freedom in button mapping on my controller.

i never melee in ME2 so B is a complete waste of a button. id rather use if for an ability.

i wonder how many console players only use 3 abilities since that all we can hotkey.

If it was alternative button mapping. I wouldn't mind. But B has ALWAYS been the best place for melee attacks. Even in CoD (which has pretty bad button mapping btw), I always go for the alternative button maping that gives me melee to B. Because I don't want to crouch from B...

I wish they would bring back crouching to ME3. It was in ME1!
