I just received the "Edge" as well and didn't even need a promo code, so I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you Bioware!



To answer AncalagonM, I believe when I received the email about the "Edge" as long as you bought the game before November 30 you should receive this item as a free promotion...although I'm not sure if you also had to register the game to receive it.

Yeah, i checked the promo content first and then when i booted up my game and checked the downloadable content, it downloaded quickly and then i checked in game, voila, it was there. I'm using a PC though, so not sure if that makes a difference.

I got it. Unfortunately, me getting it somehow managed to not only give me another Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes but it also bugged Shale prompting me to reload an earlier save. Work on your content distribution, BioWare. It sucks and has no business being in a game of this quality.

Well no I just checked my game no mention of the Edge at all for me. I might have missed out because I was late registering the game though I had it before the 30th. I'll just wait and see and keep my hopes up. Maybe its lost in the mail. If not oh well their will be other downloads.

Got The Edge. Randomly noticed it in my current playthrough's inventory. I never actually initiated a download via the Downloadable Content screen, but now it also shows up there under Installed Content.

I don't understand. I have the edge in my rewards on my profile here but it doesn't show in my game. My EA account is linked to my GT and thats the one I used to log into BW....

I feel a lot "edgier" today... edgier as in, "The Edge" was in my profile unlocks and in my game this morning. Nice work by the person who activated the dagger for everyone entitled to it by hand (it sure seems so).

One of my questions before in this thead was if people were able to still get the item one way or another after nov 30th. I didnt notice u could even register your game for extra content until Dec 1th when i registered mine. I bought and played the game long before nov 30th. Is there any way to still obtain the item by means of proof of purchase or anything like it.

(I bought mine 360 version trough a online store and it got shipped to me on release date)

Mine seriously just went live and I came here to post a question about where the hell it came from, it's an amazing dagger. At first I thought I pickpocketed it from someone in Orzammar, because that's when it magically appeared.

Will reload to just before finishing the orzimmar quests.

Same for me. I wondered where I'd got it from, but then I remembered that mail I got long ago and figured it must have been automagically added to my game.

That's not because of The Edge.  I've had the dagger enabled for quite some times now (I installed it manually) and I had to problems with Shale and his quest.

Is anyone else not liking the way these extra dlc items are handled? Suure lets dump all this very good loot on your character for no reason whatsoever.



Really, couldn't they have made this a random encounter, or put the item on a boss?
