I pre-ordered my game and got it on 6th November. Today I have cleared download cache using 'Configure' -> Repair and when I launched the game, I got The Edge. :|



Note. 'Configure' is one of options when you open Dragon Age Origins Launcher.

I randomly discovered mine in the "Downloadable content" menu (Xbox 360) when I started the game yesterday. The weapon was in my inventory too. I havent recieved the email though, strange enough...

When you turn the game on for the first time, doesnt it automatically register the game on biowares site for you? I have the ps3 by the way. I remember having to register something right away!!

Tons of people....including myself....couldn't even log-in for a month after release and then when I did log in only two of the three unlocked items were credited to my account and then I had to email the DAJ team for help and wait some more before I finally got the third item. I also know others who have all 3 items so more then a few. Stop exaggerating to make your problem look bigger then it is. This is the first I've even heard of the issue hence why I asked what you meant in the first place.

"Tons of people not being able to log in for a month" is clearly an exaggeration as the game has only been out for exactly 1 month LOL.

I bought the game on launch day retail store copy, and today "The Edge" appeared in my DLC no payment nothing just a gift from EA and BIOWARE, I did buy the wardens keep upgrade and a few days later it popped up I don't know if it was because I "inserted more dollars here" for that, but the edge was free you need like 26 or 28 dex to use but it has awesome armore penetration perca, and damage bonuses very high for a dagger. Its great because I am now a planning on it for my Rouge Duelist as soon as it get a couple mor dex points. make sure you butter it up with deathroot and venom! BACKSTAB,BACKSTAB,BACKSTAB!

I was trying to be funny actually and I'm not exaggerating anything.....there are threads pages long in the support forums about the DAJ items not unlocking in the game after being unlocked in DAJ with the same account. Then the inability to log in that persisted long after DAJ launched was also very VERY common. You were lucky and unlocked the items properly right from the start but that game was quite plagued with issues. At least the DAJ team has been good responding with patches and provided good customer service.

Yeah it worked for my but I remember seeing all those posts regarding the problems. On topic I found it in my inventory and got confused how it came to be before remembering the news about it lol.

Well damn, guess I'm too late. I just found this site and linked it to my EA account, so looks like I'm out of luck for getting "The Edge".



I wonder if BioWare will do anymore of these DLC freebies for Mass Effect 2.

Sorry but you just missed it. ended on the 30th anyone before that should of gotten it. I got it 3 days before the 30th and bought DragonAge:Origins on Nov,3 (launch-day) Also received The stone prisoner(shales quest) and the Blood draagon Armor,(immediately) Now the Edge. BIOWARE has pleased me this lauch.

Don't worry RedFrenzy there are tons of cool weapons to find steal and pillage. Like Dwynns sword- A big longsword that I yanked off a dwarf I ended up killing because we didn't see eye to eye He wanted to hide like a coward. the sword is strong but its main perc is get this- "Extra Messy" I have seen it on other weapons too.

essenstially it makes cleaving heads and busting gushing arteries much easier! If your into that sort of thing

Asied from the quest for Sten's sword I thought Dwynn was a useless NPC. I assume you fought him during that quest, but I used none violent means to complete it. I'll have to go try to steal that sword from him sometime.

I registered the day I bought the game (retail) a week or two ago, before the 30th. No Edge or mention, yet. Am I supposed to just wait?

This hasn't shown up for me yet, which is too bad since I'm playing a rogue through right now.

Edit:  Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the game doesn't show up under the "My Games" menu on my profile anymore?

Which is completely stupid because I had the game registered since the beginning of November.  I didn't miss out; Bioware screwed up.

Yeah, funny thing that: despite having registered as soon as the game downloaded from Steam, I started getting issues with my game login not authorizing me to play my previously downloaded, authorized and played DLC content. Somehow, I was "unregistered", because when I went to register the game through Steam's link to EA, it allowed me to register like I had never previously done it.

It's just all kinds of screwed with the registration process involving a "social" site that was still beta when the game launched. Ugh.

I saw I got a small patch a week ago but didn't at first understand what it was about. Now I've noticed that The Edge is in the inventory (without any downloading or action from my part). Zevran is happy...

Ok, so I bought it the day it was released, registered the week it was released, have been far too busy to game lately and when I check just now find out they don't actually have any record of me registering the game and thus I'm not getting the perk because I didn't re-register it.
