I'm in the same situation as a lot of other people here.



I pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe version through Steam and have all the pre-order DLC and such (even the DA Journeys stuff except for the Amulet of War Mage which doesn't show up in my promos, though i'm entitled to it according to the DA Journeys site). Unfortunately, I didn't have any clue about the Edge or needing to register the game before November 30th to get it. Subsequently, i've only recently registered my game (on December 2) despite having owned it since before the November release date.



This DLC dagger was really nice though, so I decided to just manually install it using the official "the Edge" DAZIP and the daupdater.exe in my game folder. It works just fine and shows up in both the downloadable content/installed content tab (with a check mark and enabled) in game menu and my saved games. They have the instructions for doing this on the Dragon Age Wikia site if you search for DLC, for those interested.



I don't know whether or not the Edge (or Amulet of the War Mage) will ever show up in my registered promotions page on this site, though.

Wow I'm late to this, I logged on and noticed the dagger.



While it is better than the silverite crow dagger I had equipped it looks a little on the plain side. All good though, a pleasant surprise. Thank you Bioware.

Please keep in mind that unless you've opted in to receive emails from us/EA when you created your account you may miss some of these promotions. I've made a point to promote that better on the site here however.



We hope to roll out future items in a similar manner where we can add it to your account and have it appear in your game without going through the trouble of codes etc.



For the Edge, you needed to register the game CD Key (PC) or UPC code (Consoles) here on social - please keep in mind these are different codes (and different registration page) than the normal DLC code redemption page.



When in doubt as to whether you should have received the Edge or not, it would appear in your Registered Game Promotions page here on social (under the Profile option on the left, under your pic). If it is there, it should appear either in your game or ready to download in the Downloadable Content screen of the game, off the main menu.

The "Edge" doesn't show on that page (nor wihtin my game or within "Download content").

I did discover this within my profile though:

An unknown promotional item has been found. Urecognized items will
still be available and recognized by the system and game they are
intended for.

I'm not sure what that could be - could something have gone wrong?

It showed up in my in game inventory a few days ago without me having to do anything to get it. That was with a pre-existing character IIRC and I just started a new game a few days ago and it showed up there as well.

(I'm guessing any hoops I needed to jump through to get it had already been done prior to it being released - like registering here and being connected while playing)

I have that on my content page as well.  I think for me it is the Formari Tome that gives an extra skill point.

As I recall there was an option for getting emails in the registration screens - you may find some way to turn them on in profile or site preferences

There is something I wondered about for a long time: What happens when your inventory is full and you're about to receive an important item? We all know that items cannot be thrown on the ground and picked up again in this game.

So what happens when you, for example, are about to receive your dragon plate armor from Wade, or The Edge, but your inventory is full???

I'm a PC user myself too. I didn't get any mails and my DA:O was a pre-order, received it on launch day (thank you Game Stop!). However couple of days ago I launched the game again to continue another "origin" when suddenly I see this new weapon I've never seen before shine in my chars inventory. I was surprised to say the least, pleasantly of course. You see, I like "loot" and "free loot" especially A bit later I found out that it was some additional DLC which I never saw before, but which was now enabled, downloaded and gave me that dagger. Well, what the heck, thanks!


EDIT: as for your inventory question then it will simply overflow. Say you have 100/100 items and you get a new one as a quest reward or DLC item, then it'll show 101/100. And so on. Obviously you need to manage your inventory soon because you're filled up to your eyebrows by then. So, go sell some loot

i made a new character, didnt download with my collectors eddition i baught as soon as the game came out. Its free and will appear in any new game you make.

@Fernando: Don't ever get rid of the code/item system. Even if you promo an item and can get auto-deliver to inventory working 99%, keep the codes for backup, so that people can manually download individual pieces of DLC not dependant on a script that may/may not work 100% of the time.



Also, you want people to opt in to mailings, make the mailings more than glorified form letters, link the two or three pieces of news here on social, have people visit all three links, and then enter their name in a draw for a random piece of EQ, you had like 15 or 20 unique pre-order bonuses worldwide, and with 2 years of DLC in the pipe, you won't lack for prizes.

I registered on the 30th of November and i still havent gotten it....is there a mod i can message to help with this or....what? Im so confused, and its been 6 days now.

Having nothing but problems with any content even though I'm registered to the hilt. I've not received the Edge yet and had to get EA chat to help me get my blood dragon armor. Shale worked fine. It's saying I have access to the addon warden area which I don't as well. Social.bioware.com is showing items I don't have and not an item I do have. Help?.

Make sure it shows up on the Profile -> Registered Game Promotions page ( http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php )

If it is not on that page it has not been added to your account. Possible reason is the game being registered after Nov 30, or not at all yet. Game registration is separate from redeeming DLC codes.

To confirm you have the game registered - under your portrait on the left, select My Games option, you should see any one of either PC, 360 or PS3 options. If so - your game is registered, and if you did so before midnight Nov 30th our time, you should have the item on your account (see above for how to check).

If you ONLY see the 'Register Games' option, then the game is not yet registered here on social. Follow that link to register your game (at this point you would miss out on this promo, but we hope to have more in the future so it is still worth it).


Q: Item shows up on the Profile -> Registered Game Promotions page, but not in-game.

On the PC, there are some known issues in getting the dlc updater to work with certain configurations. Please look through the PC Tech Support forum as most of these already have workarounds.

On consoles, you need to ensure that your gamertag or PSN account is linked correctly to an EA account that uses the same email address you login to this site. Please note that this can be a different email than what your actual xbox Live / PSN account is using.

Best way to confirm - go to the Profile -> Redeem Codes http://social.biowar...redeem_code.php page. At the top of the page you will see your EA account email address (what you use to login to social with), and what gamertag and PSN account this EA account is linked to for those respective platforms.

To get the DLC/items on the game promotions page, you must be using the gamertag/PSN account listed at the top of the redeem codes page.

Once in-game, logged into Live or PSN with that gamertag/PSN account and logged into the Dragon Age servers the DLC should appear in your Downloadable Content screen off DA's main menu. Select the content (takes you to xbox live download / psn store download page respectively) and download.

Once downloaded and on your console - you may swap to any other gamertag/psn account on that console, and you should still have access to that dlc.

I have a problem which does not really fit to one of these cases.
Some days before the 30. Nov the My Games option for my account did contain Dragon age.
But yesterday it was missing and i had to enter my code for dragon age again. (the difference in the date comes from a break from dragon age i made (played the game too much))
Don't know how this happened but i didn't get "The Edge".
I feel a bit cheated about this because to me it seems that somehow some of my account data got lost or something like that.
Obviously i did not receive it because i (RE)registered the game yesterday and not before the 30. November,  but how should i know that i would not receive it, to me everything seemed alright. (game seemed to be registered the last time i looked on the page (which was bevore the 30. Nov)

Ive registered before the 30th long before. My gamertag does pop up with the email associated with my aco****. However i still do not see it in the dlc menu. But it pops up under the reward page. I shouldve had it by now since i meet the criteria above. I just found out about the knife the other day lol. Xbox 360 version
