Kinda missing the point that consoleros feel discriminated because they can't install those.

Consoles cannot run unsigned code for the most part, so can't blame Bioware/EA for that.

Five of those can be gotten for the console right now.
One they could already have if they have preordered at Amazon
And they could get the other if they buy another copy of the game from EA (christmas gifts anyone?)

I can't find any official announcment stating that "The Edge" is available from Novermber 20th to 30th, if ordered from EA.
Also, you're missing:
The Wicked Oath

"*To receive the item, users must login to social.bioware.com and
register the game by entering their unique CD key (PC) or UPC code
(Xbox 360®/PLAYSTATION®3) before November 30, 2009. Then use the same
login information within the game and the item will appear on the
in-game Downloadable Content screen ready to download. This applies to
all accounts created before November 30, 2009."
Yes you're right, it should be available to everyone who registers the game between yesterday
(date of the spa^J newsletter) and Nov 30.
You could delete your current account and register again, but you will lose Shale and the blood dragon armor that way. Of course they may be so nice to give it to those who registred earlier as well, but begging would be a better course than demanding.
If that is so, then what the console users are complaining about is that PC users don't have to wait for authorisation by Microsoft/Sony.
And those who still crave the dagger: do yourself a favor and wait at least for level 10 before you activate it.

I checked my registered game promotions and it had all the stuff I had plus one item that says:
UNRECOGNIZED ITEM
An unknown promotional item has been found. Urecognized items will still be available and recognized by the system and game they are intended for.
Could be you just have to log into the game once it shows up.
That's the memory ring, not the dagger.

In fact, I never even got the item that was supposed to be a bonus for preordering at Amazon.

You drag and drop the dazip files into the DAUpdater window, then select each one and press "Install Selected"
Which files? All I'm getting is a winrar file that the daupdater cannot recognize.

try to rename the files to .dazip (dactivate "hide known file extensions" in the explorer's folder/view menu - translating here so the actual terms will vary.)

I'll click the link to download the .dazip file, but it doesn't save it as a zip file at all, it instantly goes into extract mode. So even if I extract it. it'll just give me a folder filled with files and a manuscript type file.
edit: And also, I just tried right click "save target as" and adding .dazip to the file name (because that is the only way I can see to make it into something else) and it still doesn't work

Edit:
dazip is just a renamed zip file apparently.
Extract it and copy everything from the Addins folder to My Documents /Bioware/DragonAge/Addins

Yes but you CAN get them all for free without doing anything too.
The Edge was already available from the (semi-)official DLC download page if I am not mistaken. Art least I followed a link and got it there for free, no authorization or anything needed. Same for all the other items that should be preorder only or you get when uploading a character/playing the flash game.
The dagger is extremely good if you are playing a rogue character and you meet the dex requirement early in the game. I equipped it at level 3 and did not exchange it until level 11 or 12.
edit: Should have read the whole thread. The download links at the top of the page look like the ones I used.

Open one in the notepad and look for yourself. I'd say those are the bits of data used to tell the ingame DLC-Downloader that the DLC is available and where to find it.Alexspeed wrote...

Only if you're on PC, this was a responce to three disgruntled console owners in a row.
Even PC users can only install the preorder bonuses from Steam and Amazon. The others need to be authorized, unless of course you use the toolset or the console to get the items.

You could be right. But the .dazip files alone work fine, so they seem to be not necessary.
